Sorry - this isn’t good about ST’s. At the very least they could post to none Derby post codes.

What they should have done is asked fans to collect over next two weeks and then posted out.

At least they’re making the opening hours longer so we can collect after work ?‍♂️

I really can't believe they've done this. I live 90 minutes away so not taking leave just to pick up my ticket on a non-matchday. That means my only option is to collect on Saturday when it will be absolute chaos. I thought the decision making would improve with the administrators...

Appreciate them wanting to save money but they haven't thought this through...

Pinsent link is probably a long shot, but gives hope. Any buying firm would have seen the run rate and the growing debt and could have seen this coming so it's a distinct possibility a buyer is waiting in the wings.

Mel/ Derby have been using Pinsents for years...

I literally flew off a few days later to travel the world for 18 months. That was the only game I saw for 18 months.

I'd forgotten that was the only game I'd attended that season as well when I was over on holiday. was fortunate to be living the other side of the world so was able to completely switch off from the entire season. My only other memory of watching a game that season was waking up in the middle of the night to watch the Newcastle home game.

  4. I'd renewed my season ticket last year so nice and easy this time as its all set up as renewed this year now but for those with juniors please note you have to renew that season ticket manually. Just need to go to season tickets then renew and it pops up automatically. My son is 5 so its still free but those with 6+ will need to pay I presume.

  5. We don't have depth but we certainly have a starting XI that could win matches. IRC burley had to put up with a lot of nonsense off the field when the 3 amigo's were 'running' the club but he still picked up some results.

I appreciate that we can't afford to sack him but would one option be to put him on gardening leave and put maclaren in charge until we have new owners?

  6. This only scratches the surface of the murky world of football. Nothing surprised me as there are plenty more samuelsons and hunters leaching from the game.

The one thing it highlights is that the major problem is the owners test and this needs more focus than FFP from the EFL. I have some sympathy with the EFL on that having been through a similar process myself but that's where the sympathy ends. FFP isn't working and needs to be looked at again.

As @cosmic mentioned I feared it would look much worse on the club. Mel's explanation on the loans/FFP are within the rules and just highlight why FFP was not well thought through and executed properly.

From Essex, grew up in Cornwall and now live in Shropshire. No links with Derbyshire. Started supporting the Rams as a 4 year old in 1970, just at random really. Supported both the football and cricket teams ever since through thick and thin. Never a season ticket holder but travelled home and away whilst a student in London in the mid 80s. Now it’s 120 mile round trip to home games so go as much as I can. Appreciate I am only a half fan and not as worthy as some other forum members though ??

    not near Ludlow are you?

  8. Dad was born in raised in Matlock. He never went but my grandfather did. I was born in raised in the West Midlands, south west of Birmingham. When I got into football my dad did too and we had a season ticket together from 94-03 before I moved to Asia for 15 years. My sister and mum started to go when I left the UK and when I moved back to my home village 3 years ago i renewed my season ticket. Having worked in the management side of a professional league (never work in the business side of a sport you like!)/ covid/  behaviour of EFL (which surpasses the corruption/ nonsense i've experienced and that says a lot)/ the management of the club, my love of the sport is fast waining. But the club have a year to turn things around seeing as they have my money for another season....

  9. Unfortunately I'm locked in as I renewed in September otherwise i'd be taking a break. Enjoyed going to watch my local side when non-league football was on before christmas and can't stand the Rooney experiment. Hopefully new owners come in, see sense, replace the manager and things turn around on the pitch. Otherwise I'll probably just go to a couple of home matches and try and catch the away games in the West Midlands.

That’s incredibly annoying and quite frankly takes the piss. I specifically emailed the ticket office about this. I bought my season ticket and sons rams squad / season ticket (as in previous years) back in Feb 20, long before COVID was a thing in this country. I emailed the ticket office and they said that the ‘free’ season ticket still applied. Is that no longer the case then? So when did they change their mind? This week? Last week? Today? Why was this never explained? The communication is an absolute joke.

They've known at least since January as that was when I queried it and I thought it odd they didnt want to keep the money. I'm lucky in that mine is 5 so still free for 1 year but I wouldnt have been happy to have the club keep my money but then demand I have to pay 168 for my child when the only reason I can go is because I take my eldest.

They have mentioned it in the Huddersfield FAQ page here:

Thanks. So i presume that means I can get his at the same time as mine now so should be ok.

Glad he is 5 so still free. Out of 19 home games 2 seasons ago 8 were night games which he had to miss. Not worth getting a season ticket next year if the fixture list is similar so this could be my last for a while.

Ticket office staff have been on furlough. I would wait until tomorrow and see if the ticket office is back open, with tickets going on sale there maybe some staff back to handle enquiries such as this, even if it's just online via Twitter and Email

Thanks. Just odd they've completely missed out the whole section of junior rams membership season ticket holders. Must be quite a few...

  13. I renewed my season ticket last year with my 5 year son via a junior rams membership. The club insisted on refunding the Rams membership despite me asking to roll over to next year. Clearly the club are changing policy with juniors and the new banding but how do I ensure my son sits with me at the huddersfield game? I can book mine tomorrow but then can't sort his out until the following day on a different day? Or worse still general sale? I only renewed with him coming so would have asked for a refund if I'd known they are moving the goalposts.

Emailed them 10 days ago but no reply and now they are telling us to buy tomorrow!

  14. I can see the reasoning for Rooney doing this as he is hoping it will improve his performances. However I've not seen any leadership qualities from Tom and I think its another poor decision from Rooney. We are going to need a captain that can lift the team through the difficult times we are going to face. We are going to have to fight for every point. I just can't see what Lawrence can offer....

I have a feeling the new shirts will be £55. Having looked through their website before £55 or £59.95 seems to be the norm for replica shirts.

I don't buy the latest kit anymore as I've got enough although I am a sucker for the retro ones. What concerns me is the childrens kit price. If they wack those up then my son will miss out this season.

I had a bad experience with their MLB Europe site. Order was stuck in "processing" for weeks. Eventually got my money back.

Best to trawl the US/ Canadian sites and find a friend to post it over. I got a blue jays shirt for £35 including postage when it's something like £80-90 excluding postage on fanatics...

Might need a little way to go yet, last seasons shirts currently full price! Also no baby stuff yet, and as someone who’s been patiently waiting to get something Rams related for their new born then they don’t even have that department up yet!

Weren't the shirts cheaper full price last season? I didn't buy one but thought they were £45 not £55. That's my concern with fanatics. As I follow an MLB and NHL team I've been on their sites when I've been looking for merchandise and they have always been more expensive and their 'sales' are pretty pathetic. Hopefully the club will have some control over prices...

  18. Waggy had a great worth ethic but in any other pre-season I wouldn't be overly bothered he was leaving. Not that he was any different to any other player last season but I'm not convinced he earned a new contract. He was outstanding against Wednesday but cost us points with his red card in another (forgotten who against).

He played better out wide than down the middle and I'd rather have genuine wide players beating players and getting crosses in.

Im disappointed it's ended this way but I'd rather take a gamble on another striker from a lower league (if we can bring someone in!).

  19. I subscribed to Rams TV when I was overseas but I wouldn't have continued at £25 a month. You can analyse it on a per game basis as being cheap but not only were many matches on sky/ classified as the international match I also couldn't watch any evening games as it was in the middle of the night. Sometimes I'd only get 2 games a month which I don't think are worth £12.50 each. I don't even think £10 is good value.

It won't happen here but I like my MLB subscription which for £150 a year I get all my teams matches as well as any other team if I'm really bored.

Early 1997 (I assume) original baseball shirt commemorating Derby Baseball Club and 100 years since baseball was played at the baseball ground hence where we got the name of the Baseball ground from. #dcfc #dcfcfans #derbycounty

It was actually much later than that. I bought one as I play the sport and they sent the attached signed photo with it. We had American owners at the time so I always felt it was something to do with them. Wouldn't mind Nigel's shirt as that is a one-off!

  21. Signed up from Malaysia for a month as I hope to be in my seat by the Birmingham game. Last had a season ticket the season John Gregory was in charge!

Already sent 2 emails to complain about the feed. Sound and video aren't in sync and I keep having to refresh due to errors.

....that being said it seems ok now...
