Bristol City fans are already tired of Liam Manning so by the time he gets there he may not even be manager. He could do with him in the team now. 

If we were a properly run club with a half-competent recruitment strategy we would’ve already highlighted his replacements and know where to turn once the money hits the account. We can then move on. 

Bird sticking around for the remainder of the season, I don’t know, I’m just not a fan of it. We’ve bemoaned the lack of balance midfield for the entire season, we get the opportunity to do something about it and we bring back one of the sources of the problem? Daft.

I agree with most of what you say. Just saying people shouldn't doubt Bird's professionalism

He clearly doesn’t feel any strong feeling for Derby anymore, otherwise you’d think he would have waited to see what league we’re in then signed a new deal if we got promoted.

Surprised Bird has agreed to it in a way (would have had multiple offers in the summer) but I guess it guarantees him championship football next season

Sounds like this one has been in the pipeline for a while but we probably wanted to keep the interest low-key to avoid any rivals becoming interested

You would have to say they are in the driving seat based on that but perhaps having us and Pompey in the rear view mirror might create some pressure.

All in all, you would have to say we have an outside chance of the autos now having to overhaul two from three teams to get there.

They could also quite easily lose against Barnsley and there are 17 games to go...
