And would anyone buy a season ticket? I'm sure many would but I would think twice about it

What we need is a poll to see who on here attended this season and will not be attending next season. That should give a good indication. See the other thread

I know what you mean but the mood music from all concerned, particularly local politicians - see that podcast - suggests they are relaxed about it rather than feeling the strain. Kirchner himself also seems relaxed. It doesn’t feel like a last minute panic stations situation

There isn’t a lot in it but I’m more confident in Allsop on crosses and corners. Also he is generally calmer. But if we end up having to play Roos in league 1 then fair enough

We have played well today and don’t deserve to be losing. But that’s how it goes. We shouldn’t all be slagging people off even though it’s tempting to do so in disappointment

There also won't be televised games by the bucket load and red button games. So if you want to watch your team you need to get your ar** down to the ground

Who wants to go in early, queue up for  amazingly disappointing beverage/food, served by someone who either doesn't care or hasn't had training?
Heres an idea, especially if we do end up with PP under council ownership.
They also own the velodrome next door, which I presume is empty on Weekend matchdays?
Open it on matchdays as the fan park, whack a big screen in there showing the days early kick off, get @TomBustler1884 or someone else with experience involved in the food and drink offering, loads of independent food and drink offerings, the odd live band or DJ, before cutting to the RamsTV build up when appropriate.
Lay on free buses from the City centre for the first few weeks, to get everyone on board, then stick with with it.
We did something similar a few years back with the free buses, but without a reason to spend in the ground it soon fizzled out, give people a compelling reason to get there early and it may work.

One of the issue for Cov City is the Council sold the ground to Wasps. Coventry became their tenants.

We may know where MA’s money comes from and he’s run a football club.  But we also know what the Newcastle fans thought of him.  They’ve wanted him out for years and as many have said there was no investment in the stadium, academy, etc.  It’s not necessarily about how much money someone had, but about how they invest it.  And if MA wanted us that badly, he could have easily outbid anyone else and that, in my opinion, speaks volumes.
CK has been appointed PB.  Let’s just see how the next few weeks play out.  My glass is half-full, I believe he will end up owning us and with Garry Cook he’ll have a very experienced man at the helm.

Since Lionel Pickering, we've had the lot.
We had a seemingly perfect owner, in MM throwing money around and putting some winning teams out. Turned out to be a nightmare.
We had a group of wealthy local fans. Least said about that the better.
We had a consortium of wealthy foreigners backing a group of talented sports adminstrators with stability the watchword. Got nowhere.
We had a no-marks chancer and his buddies who ended up behind bars.
We welcomed them all with optimism. We'll do the same with CK or whoever. We know better than anyone that we're drowning and need anyone to throw us a lifeline.
Kirchner said some offensive things on twitter in his youth? Couldn't give less of a monkeys, I'm not a choosing beggar. I see your non-PC comments and raise you allegations of extortion, arson, drug running, match fixing and brutality down the road, Man U purchased with their own future revenue (never could get my head around that), the shenanigans at leeds over the years from Peter 'fit and proper person' Ridsdale through Ken Bates, the mockery of a sham of the spirit of the game at Watford/Udinese and the least said about the owners of Newcastle and Man City the better. Kirchner might have made homophobic comments, those regimes take an altogether more blood-thirsty approach to the topic.
For what it's worth, I don't think this is over by a long chalk, but CK gets my approval if he does take over and we'll see where we go.

Two years ago (I think) on the 4th April it was Derby vs Forest and the Aintree Grand National. Everything got cancelled. The 4th April is my birthday. I was absolutely gutted. Yesterday the Mrs had surprised me with my very own pub. I and she work for the NHS. We were exhausted. I had a funny feeling that the PB would be announced on or around my birthday. Finally some hope and future COYR
