Depends how much you think he's wasted on signings who don't improve us or whether you you believe he's been too picky in terms of which players we could sign based on factors beyond their footballing ability (or whether he's a rubbish judge if character and/or ability), I guess.
Personally I don't think this is really on him, but bloody hell Paul shut your f****** trap until your sure you can deliver on the the things you talk about.
 

At least Cocu gave us some hope for our future with excellent work bringing academy players through, rather than prioritising his own skin over the club's future.
At least Rowett gave us, errrm I dunno (these are stretches!)...  the spectacle of seeing the absolute best of Vydra, Huddlestone's homecoming and the signing of future Derby hero in Curtis Davies while trying to get promoted to the top league.
I'm glad though that we're getting somewhere to being on course toward "The Rotherham Way" under Warne.

Promotion from league 1 will never be easier than this season.
No clubs as big as Sheff Weds or Ipswich. Reading and Wigan both in disarray.
To fail in January, twice in 2 years would be such a shame. 
League 1 football next year and for the foreseeable.

He came through the ranks, stood by us when we were on our arse, does his best, good egg arond the place, getting a bigger wage in a higher division, club doesn't lose out.

He had a contract, he doesn't want to sign a new one. He's got every right to choose what he wants to do. Stayed through the dark times and now he wants to play at a higher level. He has a manager who does not play to his strengths. Fair play to him. If people want to point fingers, go to the club for selling him at the last minute and causing a scene.

Keep Bird + no incoming striker = Fans convincing themselves that we've done alright actually because it could have been worse.

Everyone has high hopes when they sign Jack Marriott, unfortunately it's never long before he Wrexham.

The problem is that if a player has his heart set on a certain move for one reason or another you've got a lot on to change their mind.
Even knowing Reading were a mess he still chose to go and sign for them along with his fellow Cambridge freebie Knibbs, similarly May was always going to go to Charlton. What can you do in those circumstances?
If anyone else came in for CBT they'd have had the same problem.

Stuck by the club when it was properly properly s***, could have done a Buchanon or a Byrne but didnt
Time for him to move on.. No problem with that, he's earned a move. Going to see out the season so that he doesn't leave the club in a tougher spot for the rest of the season and gives some money and time for Clowes to get him replaced, good on him. Best of luck and hope he gets a big pay rise!

Those making observations about Warne’s style of football and Bird could well be right, maybe he’ll tell us all in a book one day.
A thought that’s occurred to me is maybe he’s just decided it’s time to move on in the summer. He’s been at the club for years, and a lot of those years have been turbulent times, he stood by the club when others walked away or forced their way out, maybe he’s just ready for something else but wants to help towards promotion before he goes.
