That appears to be how he has painted it to media.
Unfortunately for him the Administrators Statement of Affairs shows it is not the case.

Quantuma, just sell the club to someone who can complete the transaction. Negotiate with Ashley or whoever who can complete within a few days.
What concerns me most about CK is the underlying reasons why the AML checks can't be completed within a few days. Surely his lawyers would understand from experiece that this is a potential roadblock and do the needful to get the info.

We have seen what the EFL mean when they talk about sporting integrity. If they believe doing what happened to Derby last season (no penalties awarded until we accept -9 points etc) was the epitome of integrity, then I get nervous. Can we really see Gibsons men doing anything productive to save the club? It isnt in the interests of the 71 other clubs to have a successful Derby or even a viable Derby. I'm sure Championship teams dont want the chance of resurgent Derby bouncing through a double promotion (does happen) it reduces their chances. Do L1 teams vying for promotion this year want to face Derby or Mansfield in their quest for 6 points. L2, Mansfield or ... whoever lost the Play Off from the Conference. Not a chance they want Derby to exist, it's a competitive business, and they want rid of their competitors. Birch, Parry both like to say they are merely the voice for those clubs.
The only thing is I reckon they can't actually outrank the appointed administrators, just observe.
But if they are in the room then as the EFL leaks like a sieve we should learn more each day. Q also cant play silly beggars in not talking to certain bidders.
I cant wait for everything to be published in a rip-roaring 2000 page drama (bit like this thread but with less puns.) I'd love to read it, well, providing I know it all ends well.

I don't think the EFL would pull the plug. Even if football creditors aren't paid back in full. The other clubs wouldn't get see a penny.

Really torn on the EFL statement & whether this is a positive step.
The EFL are clearly not expecting Kirchner's money to land - that must be the first assumption here. The second point (and one that I agree with them on) is that Quantuma need external oversight on both their actions & communications between bidders & interested parties. Whilst we all acknowledge that Quantuma as an insolvency practitioner have to follow insolvency law, there have been a number of allegations levied at them from well connected journalists that they have not concluded sales earlier this season despite apparent agreements being reached. There are also unsubstantiated theories abound that Quantuma are prioritising admin fees over anything else, something that can not be proven given the opaque nature of all the discussions to date.
In summary, it is clear that there is a total lack of confidence in Quantuma & given the timescales, I do agree the EFL should be concerned at how long this could drag on. The problem then comes with the role of the EFL, an organisation so hopelessly tainted by their incompetence, agenda driven petulance & fact that they are easily manipulated by parties without DCFC's best interest at heart. That may or may not include one or more of the current bidders.
Two things do strike me though. Firstly, this is Quantuma's last ever gig in football administration - they're finished after this. Secondly, there will be a conclusion to this in the coming days & I do believe it will result in the club being sold. I do hope that any brinkmanship tactics the EFL employ (specifically around threats of expulsion) are kept private with Quantuma for the benefit of fans' mental health.

Would be quite poetic for Quantuma to get paid their fee in the end, only to get fined much more than that for how they've handled this afterwards.

Damn, Kirchner turns out to be a time waster? Who could’ve seen this coming?

Has nobody stopped to think he might have desperately needed the toilet ?. I don't think they have lavatories scattered around a golf course and he could hardly dig an hole in a bunker and squat down.
I wouldn't stop to talk if I was in a rush to go.

I obviously do not want the deal to collapse but I've not being getting my hopes up as I've been very skeptical of this guy from the beginning. I've not been buying the line that things haven't hit issues as deadlines get missed.
If the deal falls through I'm worried for the club, beyond the fact that we'll have no players.

Nothing is gonna happen until at the very earliest, the US banks open 14:00BST - even if it does complete today could be well after normal office hours in Derby.
