I think he is now more wary of Ed Dawes. He was giving his reasoning in his usual quick delivery style, said one thing in the middle of a long sentence and Dawes was on it like a viper. Straight there, probing and expanding. I’m sure Warne was a bit taken aback by that and will now measure what he says. He was only throwing in possible reasons for a poor performance but Dawes made it into an actual issue. I’d guess he won’t get the chance to do that again.

About time we beat them, expected nothing, so I’m pleased

Probably because they were all trying to have a quiet hour on the XBox earlier and they’re getting annoying WhatsApp messages from Warne telling them how to play football

Our fans booing loudly 😳 don't see that often
I’m not surprised. You just get fed up of the constant disappointment when you’re a Derby fan
-
Instead of adding on so much time, why don’t they just tackle the actual problem?
Tell the keeper that all that messing about placing the ball, then moving it etc won’t be tolerated and next time, book him for instance -
My god, Derby fans are a load of moaning old gits. You could put everyone a heated seat and a free pie and they’d still moan

There is no Law demanding a player plays the ball. The ball has to be within playing distance otherwise the shielding becomes obstruction. Talking of which, how many times did you see an indirect kick for obstruction given last season?
Is this a rhetorical question? I’m female
-
I want them to crack down on the player sitting down to stop a game.

Buying tickets online brings me out in hives. That’s if I even get into my account, usually they find a reason to say I have the wrong username or password. One false move and you’re in an endless loop somehow. It’s painful

As soon as the phrase ‘we can’t share all points discussed’ crops up it fails to feel right to me. If this is to be about fans then there should be nothing discussed with them that can’t be published for all fans to be informed.

I don’t buy them any more anyway but I’m not that thrilled with it. Not much you can do with black and white. My main concern is that it is black and white, all the fiddly bits are just whatever

The best ref we had all last season was female, despite me not liking female commentators, hope this lady manager does well

I’m getting in first with the ‘I’m grateful to be having any holiday’. But -
transfer buses, and also holidaymakers on them. Why, when your hotel is closest to the airport and choose one that way as you’re not too happy on coaches, do you go miles away and round every damn resort to get dropped off last?
then travellers who actually miss their drop off because they’re either too stupefied by aeroplane alcohol or too brain dead, then you have to go all the way back to kick them off. Yes this happened! -
Love how the crowd are cheering every little misstep by the Aussies
-
Nothing gentlemanly about the Aussies. I switched off when they kept aiming at Broads head. Don’t like it

Ed Dawes annoys me. Every time the opposition get near our goal he gets over excited. When things aren’t going well his ‘we’re doomed’ voice is OTT

Indeed. He absolutely knew it was not out, knew he'd messed up and tried to con the umpires.
How dare he celebrate, it was clear

One very annoying (to me) thing that is said around Heanor/Ilkeston mostly is
‘same as I say’ instead of ‘as I said’.
I bristle every time I hear it -

Social media at its best. You make a statement and everyone spends time they could usefully be doing something else, determined to prove you wrong.
I love how our recruitment isn’t leaking info. Nicko used to really wind me up, like he was camping out Bielsa style at Moor Farm. He’s been blissfully absent from my Twitter.

Same here, seeing a lot of the big 6 fans talk football, it feels so disingenuous if that's the right word. Feels like a lot of them only got in it for the glory and don't seem to have a true connection with their club.
And when they say who they support they always have to qualify it by saying ‘I supported them when they had no money’ or ‘it’s my dads team, he was born there’
Is Warne living on borrowed time?

I hold it against the interviewer in this case, he’s not my favourite sports journo, I actually don’t like him or his style.
