I remember wishing I was Welsh for a short period of my teens. That was because of this guy, and his team mates. They were immense, and he was the main guy. One of the few rugby players of any era who I could name from a photo… whether his rolled down socks were on show or not! That alone makes him a legend in my eyes. RIP, sir, and thanks for some wonderful memories. xxx

Mendez-Laing - new contract to 2026

Something, something duck, something arse! -
Quite. And rightly so. ... But once it was established it wasn't heart related? Reports suggest she was treated on the pitch (for the admittedly serious ankle injury) and was in good spirits as she headed for the hospital. Were there genuine concerns relating to her heart/medical history? Were fellow team mates too shaken/upset to carry on (For the remaining "few minutes" that remained)? Given the very nature of the game, and how "easy" it is to get leg injuries, if her heart was such a concern (or at such risk), should she be carrying on with her playing career? I'm guessing she had more than one expert tell her she'd be ok to do so, and was herself comfortable enough to do so? Did the ref make the call, or was it requested by the players/management/others to abandon the game? I believe ref's are usually reluctant to abandon a game so close to the end of a game? Do we know how long the stoppage was for? I hasten to add, these are ALL genuine questions, and not intended to appear as cocky (or uncaring) remarks, despite my lack of writing skills. I know very little about Megan and/or her heart condition, or the details surrounding this incident, so I'm more than happy to be educated on that score. We've all seen horror injuries over the years (David Busst anyone?), where the game has gone on to be completed... once they'd swilled Schmeichel's vomit from the 6 yard box! Of course, if there was genuine concern for her heart. Of course, if her team mates were genuinely shook up. Then yeah, abandon the game, and replay at a later date. Fair do's. Was that the case? I honestly don't know! 🤷♂️ I repeat... Best wishes, Megan. xxx

Not sure whether to report these puns or not. Think I'll mullet over for a bit. -
Proper Legend in every sense. Another sad loss in the global game. RIP, Der Kaiser. xxx

Must admit, it's been a while since I wore a scarf, although I do have a good half dozen or so. Need to get back in the habit, at least for the next 3 (cold) months. Still got Mel's freebie, but can't remember whether that was the B&W bar one I have, or the black one side, white on the other? I do have a couple of B&W flecks and/or pinstripes, but I guess they look more grey from a distance, so they'll not get the desired effect!

No puns allowed! Beehive yersen! -
That's the annoying thing about the queues at Birds. They can be so slow, you almost miss the train to Wembley. 👀

Cashin nominated for Player of the month. However ....

voted. ... and he's now been loaned back to us for the remainder of the season! 👀 -
I echo your entire post. It was quite a relief to learn it was "only ankle related" (for want of a much better phrase!), and I too was subsequently befuddled as to why the game was halted. Best wishes, Megan. xxx

I heard similar, , but apparently that was his Northern soul dancing, not football hooliganism! 😲 -

First one to snigger about NML getting an extension... etc... etc... 🙄 -
I have read every post from @Foreveram this season, be that informative, complete twaddle, or breakfast related, so yes, I would like to be there, and I'm damn sure I should get some form of preferential priority when it comes to dishing out the tickets. Ye gads, I've earned it! 🐏

Maybe she was the best qualified ("on paper")? Maybe she had more actual/real life on-the-job experience in her field? Maybe she was the only candidate without halitosis? Maybe she was the only Rams fan amongst the candidates? Or the most polite? Or maybe she was the only "black lady with one arm" to have applied? Only those dishing out the job would know how true your statement was, and yet you deliver it as if it's fact... for all vacancies the world over! But it is no more fact than many other opinions on here. I strongly suspect (imo!) some folk are as quick to claim the post has been given purely on merit, as there are those who are "too quick to say "I didn’t get that job, some black lady with one arm got it because they had to tick a box, I’m against positive discrimination." I'm not naïve enough to assume that all the employed one armed black ladies in the world are employed for the right reason... whatever the "right reason" may be!

Serial Whingers Notts Forest playtime, which we simply cannot accept.

They'll still get on a plane* though, right? So still a bit of excitement for 'em. *They have history of flying to Blackpool, if I recall... I believe the coach dropped them off at EMA, then drove up empty, to pick them up again at Blackpool airport! WTF! 🤣 -
I hear you buddy. 👍 ... Nearly midday, and the fluffy mare hasn't lifted a finger as yet...

I've literally just seen him on the highlights (no pun intended!)... I don't recall ever seeing Bamford looking more like a Bamford as Bamford does with that Bamford hair-do. WTB was he thinking! 😲🤮 That kit don't help. I'm not anti-pink, but that ain't a nice pink, particularly as it's head to toe! 😲🤮v.2

What the hell happened to the other 0.4 child, the golden retriever, and the Ford Mondeo? 😲

Indeed. The "Derby Spokesperson" was Ms Cornish. First name Patsy! The article was also dated Friday 5th... we didn't arrive until Sat 6th!

In light of an "infopost" from @uttoxram75 elsewhere, I'd just like to remind everyone of the words to another song we'll be singing over the next few months. Que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be. We're going to Wemberley, Que sera, sera. PS: I am nowhere near as drunk as @uttoxram75 likely was when he posted... in fact I am 100% sober... but as it's 09:27 on a Sunday morning, you'd have guessed that anyway, yeah? 🐏
