Ram@Lincoln reacted to simmoram1995 in Summer transfer suggestion thread
I’d be tempted to sign maybe Sheean from Bolton who ran the show yesterday or Herbie Kane plus obviously Ebou.
GK - offer wildsmith a new deal then we don’t need to pay for another
RB- fine
CB - fine
LB - I’d be tempted to get one in as Elder is hot and cold plus fozzie’s injury record is a concern - Burrows from Peterborough
CM - at least 2 one being Adams maybe even three with hourihane smith bird (gone) the former two unlikely to stay
RW - maybe another so we have balance and a bit more quality if promoted - Keillor-Dunn maybe or Poku
SK - 2-3 Taylor from Luton on loan at Lincoln, Langstaff from Notts plus maybe a few gems + Gayle for one more year
at least 7 new signings

Surely that's an oxymoron?
I assume the striker you mentioned with 0 goals in 27 games (amongst many other poor seasons) is much the better option than league one's second top goal scorer...

Bolton’s own highlights suggests there was only one team it, as they showed all their chances but only our goal at the end. You wouldn’t think we had a lot more chances than them, with an equal number on target (3).

Glancing through the match day thread on Bolton's forum. It's quite cute to see them making a point of how much better they are than us....as the Derby fans were booing regularly throughout the game. They say that Evatt even acknowledged the home support booing in his post match interview.
Whatever floats your boat I guess. 😂 Ebooooooooou!

I wouldn't pick this up, mate. A lot of context you will have missed.

Over ten years of service, never a problem in the entire time he's been here, seen off every left back we've signed since he arrived, flexible enough to cover multiple positions.
A club legend. No doubt about it.

Wow, what a result! Some fantastic performances out there today but I just want to take a moment to praise Ebou Adams, to give such a wholehearted display while observing Ramadan can't be easy, what a guy!

Do whatever it takes to get Ebou Adams in the summer.

Love that from Wilson 👏 Shapes to clear it then steps over the ball letting it run for a goal kick. 5 mins to go 😬

As has been mentioned, there are some gems to find up in Scotland who would be willing to join us. The problem here is, you're getting close to 50 suggestions on 50 different posts, followed up by "Scotty McScotface is playing tonight vs Bonnyrigg Rose. He's a quality player" for every suggestion.
Some of your suggestions wouldn't even get into Carlisle's side, never mind one which will either be opening for romotion from L1, or looking to finish lower mid-table in the Championship.
There's so many suggestions in a short space of time that people are bored of your suggestions and won't even bother looking them up to see if they are any good or not. They're now just going straight to the ignore list.
My suggestion for you is to take your time and compile your own list maybe limit it to the best 2 players in each position where we have a gap in our squad for next season. Assume we'll be promoted if you want, or state if they'd be a L1 signing, a Champ signing, or a someone we should sign no matter which league we're in. Maybe explain why they're better than someone we already have, and maybe explain how they suit Warne's style.

One or two additions from your client list may well be of use to Derby beyond this season. And a number of our existing players will be. And we’ll sign other players too from England, Ireland and maybe further afield.
For now, most of us are focused on the league run in which will determine what level we’re competing at next season and all the associated connotations, maybe pop back in with some of these ideas closer to the end of the season or after things are determined? Until then there are many other threads that fans of this club are using to discuss weird and wonderful things like our current players, the academy, our upcoming matches and the like. Perhaps you would care to contribute to those conversations as prolifically as you are this one thread?

Can we lock this thread to Dryhorce only and start a fresh Summer suggestion thread without all the wasted pages in it?

Dundee Utd's top scorer was released by Burton in the summer after only scoring 1 goal for them. That tells you about the current level of the Scottish Championship.

You seriously aren;t using sites such as SalarySport to state definitely what certain players are on, are you? 🙈

Exactly this on the wages. It'll be a real kick in the teeth for all the local businesses that had to take fractions of the debts owed them with the admin.
DC is running the club with the ethos of integrity, whilst ensuring a sustainable and reputable club. Going back to the old ways of boom or bust immediately on promotion would just be plain stupid. Something that he isn't.
We're a much better thought of club and business now. Let's keep it like that.

Once it’s back to full strength after being completely pillaged, I hope our academy can produced a good proportion of our first team.

365 tickets left I think. One for each VAR decision that has gone against forest in the last month. Or the price of a Quantuma lunch from Greggs. Take your pick.

That's true. Even today we (BWFC) have a few idiots but attitudes towards them have changed substantially since Sharon Brittan saved us from oblivion and took over 4 years ago. The woman is dead set on us being a "community club" that attracts families and community groups so over 50 lifetime bans have been handed out to trouble-causing d******** so far. With more and more families coming to our home games and occasional "Community Days" where tickets cost a tenner for adults and much less for kids and other concessions (including away fans) nobody tolerates the idiots any more. Home games are like a village fete for the masses.
That said, the club can't ban idiots from going to away games, but for the most part our away support is big, vocal and peaceful - but there's always one with ego problems, isn't there?
