Bring him home, this lad is from Chellaston. Though he hasn't been at all prolific, 3 in 13 for Cheltenham in league one and 3 in 18 for Northampton in league two this season. Still he's young, good size and more physicality than Bart. One year left on his contract at Tottenham, I'd expect they'd take a low offer to move him on. 21 in November, they'd be expecting more from him by now if he was going to be a premier league player.

I recall Brett Wilson and John Vicars used to do similar in the GSE days

    They can’t win can they?
If he was some Malaysian (I’ve nothing against Malaysians BTW) businessman who never comes to the ground and never communicated he’d get a right royal roasting.
So he wants to be a part of the culture of the club he’s hoping to buy, good on him.

Totally agree with this. I liked him and he seemed really genuine.
I’ll add that, having heard him speak about the club and the deal now, I don’t think he would have tweeted what he’s tweeted over the last couple of days or would have just done that FB live thing if he didn’t believe/know that the stadium was getting sorted. He totally gets what the club means to people.*

*disclaimer - I totally get that MM could still scupper any deal

He spoke very well. Considering his age, and by his own admission,  a rather meteoric rise in his bank balance, he seems still very grounded and is buying DCFC for the right reasons. Gets what the club means to its people - I really enjoyed the comparison to a church.
We've had a 'fan' owner. It didn't work. We need someone who gets it, but is emotionally detached, and surrounds themselves with the right people. Sounds like this is what's happening.
I will obviously temper this with, 'talk is cheap'. Ultimately, we won't find out until actions are taken, but for now, I'm reassured.

Listen to it and judge for yourself.
To me he came across as a thoroughly decent bloke who "gets" what a football club means to it's fans and local community.
He's no time waster of that I'm now certain.

Though they’ll probably blame us as the 4 points we gave them this year gave them false hope. Emotional damage and all that.

To be honest, the unhappier Steve Gibson is then the happier I will be!  Odious little man.

My missus used to be good friends with Flint's family through work before we moved. Hard as nails they were, but would do absolutely anything for anyone even when he was at Pinxton or Alfreton and they had nothing. I wouldn't worry about his family background. Shaun Barker was a red dog along with all his family, as was Huddlestone. They aren't all bad eggs!

Richard Keogh started the bounce at the Derby County end and applauded the fans. He will always be a big part of the rams heritage and he gave all when he played for us.

Sibley doesn't get enough opptunities I think. Other players have ineffectual spells but don't get dropped straight away. Sibley needs a long run in the team to see the best of him.

I'd look at Tom Eaves from Hull, out of contract, big target man - scored 21 goals in his last season with Gillingham in League One and 17 goals in the previous year. Definitely prolific at that level for sure. He'd surely be scoring the chances that big Bart had on Saturday and all the other crosses we have into the box.
