The main problem was the signings, too many average players on big wages, when we realised they were not goid enough, we had trouble moving tgem on, becausw nobody would pay thier rediculous wage demands.
How much was wasted sacking managers, Rusk and Keogh et al.  Only one person to blame and he's walked away.
Liquidation us inevitable and hopefully allow us to start again at the bottom of League 2 after ashley buys the stadium...

You’re right, no one knows the facts, there’s no confirmed news. So it seems people are using a football forum to discuss and speculate in the absence of that news, some of which includes the sharing of personal opinion. Reporting of fact based news will come from the club and certain media outlets if and when something happens, until then is it wrong for people to use this space for a discussion with fellow fans?

If it was going to have been resolved it would have happened by now. I'm sick to the back teeth of the whole saga and can only commend the staff and players as they continually prove to be a credit to the community.
Mel is 100% to blame for everything and Q completely incompetent. Thus shambles will not get resolved until we are mathematically relegated at the earliest.

Finally, well explained, if we look like staying up the value of the club increases by around 50%.
Lets not forget Southampton was sold with £100M worth of debt taken on by the new owners who still paid £100m for the club...

To be fair, I’d be inclined to agree with pistoldpete that we don’t owe £8m on Bielik, but it is hard to put an actual figure on it.
What we do know is that we’ve had Kristian for 3 years and he has 1 year left on his contract. Do you think we’d stack up all the payments into the last year of his contract? Surely we structured the deal to be more evenly spread out.
And it was confirmed that the payment that was put on hold by Arsenal when we went into admin has been paid since then. Probably through sales of other players.
Id estimate that we probably have closer to £2m left to pay for him still and if we go down we would probably be able to recoup that.

The first points you make are indeed correct the debt is the debt whichever league we end up in
However potential buyers are not going to stump up the same price for a team in a league lower, revenue is greatly reduced in TV and match day earnings, our crowds will fall to around 18-20K only likely to rise if we do get anywhere close to the top and pushing for promotion, away support will be low also apart from a few bigger clubs
If we had clarity which division we were going to play in next season i think a price and deal would of been made by now,but we are hanging on by a thread to the Championship and if we do survive the price will be higher

The best bid for who the creditors collectively or a the person who appointed them?   Remember this is all done under NDA agreements, so who is going to see whats actually the best overall agreement is for ALL the creditors.
Im sorry, but, I really do not trust yhe person that got us into this mess.  He's hidden stuff from the fans, failed to pay taxes, he's treated the fans.  Acted appallingly feeding the select few bullshite under an NDA scenario.
For me he no longer cares one jot or he would have sorted Boro long before he did and gifted the stadium to make the deal possible.

I actually think it is Mel and Quantuma that should have done their deal sooner.
Ashley clearly had a bid on the table, but if rumours are to be believed, the sticking point is that Mel and Quantuma aren't liking what they will be getting out the deal.

If Ashley only wanted us if we are a Championship club he should have done a deal sooner and allowed us to strengthen. Losing players and the inability to sign players will ultimately cost us.

I think its telling that the news of the Binnies pulling out has come from the Binnies and not from Quantuma. A bit odd they went straight to the BBC to say they 'lost'... similar to Kirchner and his pram toy throws out episode we saw on Twitter. It could potentially be a negotiating tactic to bring other bids down and closer to what the Binnies want to offer so we'll see if they end up coming back in at a later date, as is possible with Kirchner too.
It seems like a blow to lose a bidder, but I'd be shocked if Quantuma rejected the bid without other credible offers on the table. Agree that we could be looking at other mystery bidders, and its taking time for Quantuma to review their bids as they're brand new hence the delay.
It does concern me that the bid was rejected with a small amount seemingly set aside for the stadium - sounds like Mel has named his price and its not 0 when it absolutely should be.

You are guessing. The idea that appelby consortium  don't have the cash is just Nixon BS. It may well be that none of the bids are yet acceptable or just brinkmanship we just don't know.

£2m I think.. they upped the offer of £28m without stadium to £30 m with the stadium. I can't imagine why their offer was rejected.

I’d think the stadium owning company can be put into administration. MSD have a debenture and there are defaults all over the shop. I’d guess the understanding with MM is it stays out of admin if he plays ball

EFL statements are completely irrelevant and mostly misinformation. Quanutuma has released a lot of information, I sugest you listen to their interviews with Radio Derby, Talk Sport etc if you need updates.. if you can get Radio Derby your end of Nottingham.

I would add Pearce in this and potentially Rush not just Mel. I agree with the rest.
The 151% is interesting, I think Reading are something like 240%. I would imagine the vast majority are well over the 100%.
Other clubs supporters look at wages and debt as a reason we went into administration but that is incorrect, we are there because the owner (Mel) stopped funding. Other clubs, Reading, Middlesbrough, Stoke et al have bigger debts but have owners that own the debt themselves and continue to fund their clubs.
Mel (for what ever reason) took outside loans and then stopped funding the day to day expenses. Owning a football club is a very rich mans sport.
I would like to see a new approach to sustainability and a new regulator to do it.
things that need to be improved are:
    - Parachute payments (they should be for high residual wages not to give a club a clear advantage)
    - FFP, clear penalties that are not reduced on the whim of the EFL. Also better business plans where clubs keep with FFP limits and a better way of implementing points (where possible they should be given in the year of the infringement).Everybody has a go at Derby for delaying accounts but Reading delayed theirs.
    - A clear structure for dealing with Administration
    - A clear and transparent method of implementing embargo's
    - Quicker tribunals and punishments
    - A better way of dealing with potential acts of god. The Covid rules benefited a number of clubs and not others such as those promoted.

I agree, there must be a new LAW, passed where community assets can not be treated like some rich kids train set.
Before someone starts shouting he lost £200m, thats yet to be proved as he's not written off the soft loans yet, nor has he sold the stadium.
Only one person to blame for this Im afraid, I know he didn't intentionly leave us in the state we are in.  However he's left us in a right mess for the following reasons:
    Bought too many overvalued players.
Wages were far to high for signing ge made, making it difficult to move underperformers on.
At one point we were soending 151% of total on players salaries, its just reckless.
Made some awfil managerial apponts and sacked too many of them.
Didn't listen to his advisors and simply drove the club at speed off a cliff.
    Great job Mel!
