Unlikely that WW can achieve that, but maybe a draw

So when was this then? Lots of comments on it but I don't remember it. I remember seeing him for the U23s and a bit with Rowett but tbh he looked nothing like the player we bought pre injury.

I don't think that in itself makes them safe.  This table can move greatly in a couple of games as we have just seen.  I would prefer to be 4 points in front though

Funny how all this talk on here about winning/losing is Cocu v Rooney and no-one is talking about the people who are solely responsible for the outcome of games - the players. 
It's no good blaming either manager if the players available aren't good enough to achieve game by game results, regardless of the opposition. 
To my mind, Cocu would have taken us down, and Rooney is doing a better job with the same tools at his disposal. Problem is, the tools aren't any better than a lower midtable team.
We have hardly any creativity or goals in us, but at least we've shored things up at the back. 
We can only hope the loan players add something going forward, or we remain in great danger of going down. 
If we do finish 21st or above, it'll be a job well done in the circumstances but unfortunately a sign of things to come unless we can find someone to buy the club and invest in the team. 
 
 

I think both cocu and Mel are to blame for this season. This has been in the making for a few years now and it's caught up with us. That is Mel's responsibility. The team we started the season with was poor by our standards but it's still good enough on paper to have us mid table. That is cocus responsibility.

Brum remain in trouble but win or lose if the better our score by 1 they go above us.  Change of manager might be what Bournemouth need to stop their terrible run, Hope so.  Bournemouth have won the last 2 meetings

wendy won 4 lost 1 and looking for the path to the payoffs.  Last 5 pairings have been close affairs.  Could be anything

R's chairman to be evicted from the ground for singing something about knob ends.  PNE won only 1 of their last 5.  Rovrum won last 2 pairings so I don't have a great deal of hope about this one

Florest beat them at home and are also hopeful of a playoff push; fools.  Wycombe to park the bus but really can't see anything but the gap widening

Jim this for me is one of those scenarios I want to see pan out.  I want to see whether Rooney can get the best out of Tom.  When he returns to fitness do we still get the 1 in 7 mardyarse nasty guy or can he get to 1 in 4 game changer which I suspect is in there somewhere.  Like @DCFC1388there could be potential there and that comes from someone who is not a fan of his.

Rotherham - on a great run hard to beat will pick up points from those you don’t expect them too
Birmingham - struggling but have 3 strikers Hogan Juke Crosgrove if one of them turns it on then they could drag them out the mess
Coventry - starting to fall a bit. had a better first half of the season than I thought still think they might get dragged in 
Forest- Murray showing on his Debut that’ll he’ll score goals to keep them out of trouble
Wednesday - had picked up recently poor result yesterday they still have a decent squad they’ve got enough to keep them away from the drop depends on how the off the field stuff effects them 
Wycombe - surely they are down
Derby - should have a squad good enough but don’t beat teams around us, don’t score enough goals, we need to start picking up points and scoring goals and we will be ok!
Luton - great first half to the season, hard to beat at home 
Cardiff and QPR- can’t see either being dragged in
Barnsley - an actual decent side think the past record has made everyone think it’ll be an easy 3 points can play it nasty but also play it on the floor!

The points deduction is the elephant in the room.  In this environments would be amazed if it happened but that doesn’t stop it happening.  The other 2?  Well not sure what is going to turn brum around.  After that?  Wendy have so much trouble off the pitch I am astounded they have had an mini with revival sill there is still life in that corpse.  Our season depends on the new guys and Tom.  After that fine margins every point to play for

I am getting to an age where I am accepting timing on decisions is always going to be difficult.   I’m not a great fan of Mel in general, appreciate the incredible financial support but worried where we are currently left.  I am sure he really wanted cocu to be a successful and if he had given the gig to Wayne straight away, jeez what a risk to take.  I was definitely in the get rid of cocu earlier than we did but as for the next manager, never very sure.  Still dont know if it was the right decision with Wayne I think it is I hope it is

Yep agreed but I am in the camp that needs to be convinced by performances wearing a shirt with ? on it.  If they are carp then the last 2 games may be too late.  Really exciting but I could without it.  I have great doubts about Tom but I really want to see whether Wayne can weave some magic there.  

I would, but we've gained a huge advantage with the number of new recruits we've bought it - compare with Sheffield Wednesday for example - so if we don't lever that advantage now from it we'll have no one else to blame but ourselves.

Every game is important but my eyes go to the Wycombe game, given their form we must put them to the sword

All very negative but I couldn’t argue with that assessment.  The defence is ok as long as there is some midfield interference and availability of guys in front of them to receive a pass

The problem is with the new guys they don’t really give you the these will definitely help us either. 
 
gregory injured a bit this season fans flattered to deceive for Stoke season before. Not much hope 
Mengi hardly played first team infact 1 senior game I hope he is the deal as he’s coming into a relegation battle and not playing in the local park with 10 year olds. Some hope 
roberts record doesn’t really get you anywhere excited last few seasons and couldn’t get a game at Middlesbrough and just don’t see it but we have to hope . Some hope 
Edmundson hardly played past league 2 can’t even play for a Scottish team and just had hernia op how long is he out for and will take to get fit enough for Rooney team. Not much hope 
bangingme or whatever his name is ? played what 11 first team games and I think people have said he looks okay at under 23 I hope he helps as I cringe with bird at Cdm and much prefer bird where he was before Bielik was out a bit further up hope he helps. Some hope 
willing to give it then but when you look at the 5 it does make you worry but give them time and hopefully they come good. Our defence is okay but we need to start scoring now as this will be what defines us if we go down and can’t rely on the defence to claw our way out of trouble.

I think losing our most influential player and then being comprehensively beaten on wednesday has shaken a few.  I can see why.  The new guys need to be good and we haven’t seen them yet.  If they are not then the current Rooney form is under threat
