Curtains got a reaction from DiggerB in Substitutions too late or not .
IMO Warne left it too late to get Sibley and White on etc.
Cashin ,,Rooney and Roberts worked ok but Barks and Nat not wing backs IMO
Bird still working his way back to full fitness needs to play but I also think Knight and Hourihane are playing ok
Warne though isn’t far away from getting it right and we are looking for Barnsley and Ipswich favours against Peterborough.

In terms of what was available on the bench, if you take out Sibleys long run at lb, when played further forward he by far has the best goals per min ratio.
And when dominating so much, Dobbins pace wouldn't really be as useful.
If the ball fell to one of our players in the box, you'd want it to be McGoldrick, then Hourihane and Sibley. Would perhaps make sense to have all 3 on. But we went for more creators...
Or maybe this is where a young academy striker could have been the hero? Well, if we hadn't loaned everyone out!
I don't think Warne likes to take a risk on his subs.

Warne said post match if we fall short it’s because we don’t score goals.
Well you left Sibley out and didn’t replace Osula !

I think so, it’s my biggest concern with Warne. I think the initial set up of the team is so close to working, the intent is there and it appears they understand what’s expected of them, we just need to take chances.
The problem seems to be Warne waits until the 65th-70th minute to make any changes. The style of play he favours leads to the players “gassing out” by his own admission, he has to be more proactive in managing that and sustaining the levels for me. 3 players introduced sooner would keep the side fresh enough so that hopefully we wouldn’t be in that position of conceding in the second half, or if and when that does happen changes sooner to chase the result would be better. Sibley on at 84 mins yesterday was bafflingly late.

Curtains got a reaction from BigTravIsGod in Paul Warne appointed as Head Coach
Surely yesterday was just about winning a tough away game.
Didn’t go yesterday but I’d say I was relieved we are still in the race for top 6.
Warne is Clowes choice so we should back him IMO

Warne is doing what he has to do this season.
He has tried different permutations and that’s good on him.
I think he is doing as well as any manager could do with these players

Curtains got a reaction from MickD in Poll: what do you think of it so far? (Warne's tenure)
I think it’s reasonable to be concerned about the club going forward particularly as regards “ The Derby Way”
Is Warnes style of play what Derby fans want.
Judging by the singing by away fans that “We have the Division 1 Guadiola “ I guess it is.
I have concerns about style of play and tactics going forward but I’m willing to judge him later rather than sooner.

@DavesaRam, here is Rosenior's full match record with result, shots and shots on target.
Oxford W 1-0 13-4
Charlton L 1-0 13-7
Mansfield W 2-1 13-8
Barnsley W 2-1 7-2
Shrewsbury D 0-0 13-3
Fleetwood D 0-0 27-9
WBA W 1-0 19-6
Peterborough L 2-1 12-3
Grimsby W 3-1 17-5
Plymouth L 2-3 12-3
Lincoln L 2-0 10-5
Wycombe W 2-1 26-12
I can't see any games with no shots on target, and total shots is a lot better generally than we're seeing at the moment. And he didn't have McGoldrick for some of those games either.
I don't mind people saying they didn't like Rosenior's style of play but please check out your facts before you say "with several matches producing no shots on target at all".
My stats from DCFC website, btw.

Yeah, I guess there are many ways to "skin a cat". Maybe he is following the approach as you see it. I would advocate a more holistic approach - and drive change throughout the club, threads in parallel - but maybe he doesn't think that's possible.
His predecessors, of which I know you had less faith, Cocu, Rooney and Rosenior, had the academy teams play in the same manner and formation as the first team so that it prepared the youngsters. I guess it could be argued that those managers had no choice but to make use of the academy - and it is certainly fair to say the academy had a better crop of players to choose from than is available now - alas, thanks to Administration etc.
So, we will have to see how things pan out in the future.
I do think it's reasonable though to discuss whether we're happy with progress so far. Whether the signs are good. If you think it's still too early to judge, does that mean we shouldn't have even discussed Warne's merits at the time of the appointment? Of course not.
This is a forum, a discussion board, that's all we're doing.

6 points in next 2 and Warne is ok again lol.
Promotion and he’s done brilliant.
Most managers have short shelf life without success.
