I think the goalkeeper deflected the ball behind Max .
Slight deflections can mean you run past the ball and can’t get your feet right .
Criticizing Bird is ridiculous in my eyes as he always gives his best for the team whatever .

Well Warne can have no idea on his best team at the minute.
Its too early though to judge as players still being integrated
Lots of work needed on the training ground and at least 2 more additions ie Striker and box to box midfielder.
I think Warne will be ok and get it right .
Not going in East Stand again as booing not acceptable and toxic atmosphere uncomfortable 😣

If Warne was talking about Max and Cash he’s wrong .Both put a shift in and did well

Im not saying you're not entitled to that opinion, im just genuinely interested to know how how anyone drew anything positive from that first half or particularly thinks that someone played well in it?

Second half last night was what I was expecting this season to look like (early on anyway) - reasonably solid at the back, lots of running around, plenty of half-chances, but never really looking like scoring one of them. I wouldn't exactly say it was good, but it was certainly miles better than the first half.
And FWIW, Bird and Cashin (plus Forsyth and Waghorn), all played well and were probably our best players.
