I can understand wanting PW out based upon opinions, nothing wrong with that. It does get tiresome though imo when an argument is made based on mostly fabricated information and by the same posters over and over. It's almost as though the PW hate has been embedded and attempts to critique him plucked out the air.

We have had doesn't use academy or know players names, tells the players to put aimless crosses in the box, fallen out with players based on hearsay, failure will be not getting us promoted turned into he will fail once we got promoted, he says we are playing good in his interviews, what game is he watching but then when he says we weren't at our best, what does that do for team morale, the league is now the worst ever, his football is rubbish, get Warnock in (one of my favs) I could go on.

As I said, I get it with someone's opinion, don't have an issue at all with that. However stating something to prove a point that can't be debated seems strange to me. Someone saying I do t like the bloke, his football is rubbish etc...fair enough, personal opinion, someone saying his relationship is bad with Sibley though for example...just seems to be throwing things out there to aim at him.

Interesting you pick SM, someone who failed to beat a team in a play off when they were down to 10 men for so long, someone who failed to get us promoted when clear at the top of the table when injuries kicked in. Really can't remember the football being enjoyable during that period when we were losing game after game.
For me, football is played different ways and I enjoy them all, have to say though, more so when it's winning football, for me, BD promotion season was of best and topped SM reign.

For someone who 'does not have the instinct of a goalscorer' he's not doing too badly with not far short of 200 in his career so far. Jordan Rhodes is often mentioned as a 'natural goalscorer' yet has only scored 30 more having played a similar number of career games.
You've recently suggested Michael Smith or Lukas Jutkiewicz as better alternatives to Collins yet their goals per game records are significantly poorer. It's obvious you have a downer on the guy yet the stats don't appear to confirm your opinion about his goalscoring ability.

Do you think that maybe we go out wide because that's where the space is ? For me, the opposition have looked at our games and are condensing the midfield and forcing us to use the wide players. I saw a post yesterday where it said Sibley changed the game (thought he did well when coming on), but for me the second goal changed it.
It was no coincidence that Lincoln had to open up more, pushing players forward to chase the game and therefore opening up the pockets that previously weren't there. Hence why in the last quarter our play changed more to go through the middle, Bird being a great example of someone who struggled to contribute in the final third, was suddenly finding space and looked so a danger.
Just how I saw it anyway 😏

There is often some fortune included in most wins. I'm sure we could pick out multiple other turning points from both an attacking and defensive point of view. Not giving away a daft pen for example.
I thought the script from last night was we were the better team without playing really well and deserved to win. If a few things had gone the other way, we might not have won.

I'd rather it's was maclarenesque flowing football but I don't really give a s*** if we get promoted and warne has a proven track record of achieving it playing it his way over a season.

Haaland is acknowledged by many as one of the best centre forwards at the moment, I hate to use stats because they need context and you can spin them anyway to prove a point, but I personally think a CF will have less touches because you want them in the box more, it's what they do with them that counts more than the quantity.
Against Red Star Belgrade EH had 16 touches, Against West Ham it was 22 touches and Fulham 17 touches. Today Collins had 17 including one goal 😏

Another good win, wasn't in doubt for me, thought we looked the better team throughout. That said, I worry our injuries will catch up with us, teams are playing more deep and compact against us and we are missing that depth to offer us something different when coming off bench.
Good to be talking about what's happening on pitch again though, shows we are heading in right direction 😏

I know work rate is something anyone can do but Collins was phenomenal in that aspect tonight.
Some good touches under pressure and a good goal which closed the game out.
I think that’s harsh to say he didn’t play well.

I think the poster is saying you can't compare the players based upon them being of similar ability. You asked why the two players you mentioned are treated differently to Sibley, the answer came back that the other two have shown more to their game in a Derby shirt than him.
All comes down to opinion at the end of the day, but one that has been backed by several Derby managers. For me at 22 years old and 120 odd games under his belt, him not being able to secure a regular starting role at in a Div 1 team, says where he is at his career and isn't a reflection on the manager or fans, just a reflection on his performances.
Id, like most, including PW, would be more than happy if he secured that place, because it would be beneficial to the team and always good to see an academy player do well.

Generally speaking 94 points should get you top 2.
We are currently averaging 1.85 ppg, we would need to average 2.2ppg for the rest of the season to finish top 2.
If we only need 85/86 points, then win tonight and continue at that ppg. It's rare that that amount would get you top 2.

Ok I am biting 🤣 Tom is a player in the autumn of his career. His abilities are known and in decline. It’s a daft comparison. Tom Lawrence was inconsistent but had enough good games to attract interest from many places and displayed a recognisable skill level for a mature player. Again a poor example. This game time malarkey doesn’t hold water. Again though, I am not anti Sibs. I want him to succeed, he has shown at times, special attributes but he has had more than enough game time for those to develop. He’s behind the curve that you would expect. Mind you, maybe he’s peaked ?  maybe another coach will unlock him - but he has had a fair few ? maybe a different playing system would help ?  I really don’t know but it isn’t game time or opportunity he’s had plenty. Wilson is wild and makes bad final decisions sometimes, but is way more scary to any opponent at the moment.

League 1 stats or including the cup ?

Let's face it, if he is held in such high regard by other managers, given his contract situation and lack of playing time under PW, he should have a queue of clubs waiting to sign him next month.
