May I ask why? It's their job, does everyone like the job that they do? Or do you do a job because you happen to be good at it?

I do a job because I need money.
But I’d say 90% of footballers do it because they’re good and have an interest in it.
Its more school boys/girls dream so to have someone doing it to a good level who doesn’t like it is just bit unsavoury.

    Just my personal irk.

The second leg of the play offs against Brighton, cracking game that was. The play off at Millwall as mentioned, memorable for all the wrong reasons. Was the first and only time I've ever felt scared at a football match. Vowed never to go to Millwall again.

The same as you , I’ve seen the glory days and for me this season is right up there , well actually these last two seasons in the context of admin all taken together ,,
football is more than football , my wife and daughter have come to games since admins and it’s been great , we have shared so much , we got two extra tickets for Carlisle so my wife and daughter could both come and bring my daughters boyfriend, there was the bit of sorrow that my eldest daughter who had season ticket when both daughters were small is no longer with us in person,
football is shared emotion , we will remember the day , the season , the emotion , we won’t remember what division we were promoted from , we won’t go back over the style of football we played ,
the last two seasons have been great , a bond between generations in families , happy times shared ,
    that’s just how I see it 🤷🏻‍♂️

What a day! Just a great end to the season. How fitting that Max should score in his final game, I genuinely hope he enjoys the change he seems to have wanted. We must sign Ebou, he was absolutely everywhere today, and seemed to completely love the after match celebrations! I know this League has not been to everyone's taste, but I've enjoyed visiting new grounds and new cities. And of course spending time with my boy, and being able to celebrate with him today at an age that he will remember! Looking forward to seeing how Mr Warne gets on next season. When's the fixture list out?😁 COYR!

So many thoughts and emotions at the moment.
I went into Derby to watch the huge, noisy, smoky crowd as they wended their way through the town. Flags galore and a positive, good-natured feel to the occasion. I was excited but dreadfully apprehensive about the final score. The energy from the crowd just had to lift the team and carry them over the line... surely? What could possibly go wrong?🤔
I listened to the match on Radio Derby. Once we had scored 2 goals I started to relax and enjoy the game a bit more.
When our lovely Max Bird went off I felt so proud of him, so sad to see him leave us and worried in case he was about to regret his decision to leave.
It wasn't one of our greatest games but it was bound to be a nervy game. Our opposition had nothing to play for and we had everything. Perhaps the players knew that if we won, their holidays in the sun had begun!
So sad that B4 wasn't with us physically to celebrate this wonderful party but I really hope that he is celebrating somewhere. I loved the 'Be More B4' displays round the ground. It reminded us of what a smashing guy he was.
I loved all the scenes of the players after the match, being carried on shoulders, celebrating with families. Their relief was palpable and so well deserved. Well done to them all for achieving this promotion and well done to every single member of staff connected with the club.
I felt proud of Paul Warne for what he has achieved. He is a nice guy and I like him. Whether or not he can take us all the way, I am grateful for what he has done so far, for his passion for the club and for his care of the players. I felt very happy for him today. He has brought a good ethos to our club which I'm sure was part of David Clowes plan.
After everything we have been through over the last 2 years, the sadness, the uncertainty, the anger, we have achieved promotion and tonight Derby fans will go to bed feeling very drunk, ecstatic, full of positivity for next season or may be apprehensive. I think our club is in good hands and I am so grateful for David Clowes for getting us to this place. He loves this club and I am so grateful and reassured that he will not take any risks with this club which he loves as much as we do.
Sleep well tonight, fellow rams. Like I said, it has been a day of so many emotions, but tonight is joyous and a time for some fizzy!! X

So they are basically blaming the death of a player for them getting relegated, and are now trying to make money from the situation? Am i reading it correctly? If I am, that is vile.

Lovely post @DarkFruitsRam7. My lad is around your age, he sort of remembers being at Wembley as a seven year old for the West Brom game, we have pictures which help, but he doesn't remember the feelings or emotions of the day, and at that age would haven't appreciated them anyway. IF we finish the job next weekend, I don't want to tempt fate, I hope that he can bottle up the feelings and memories and have them for the rest of his life. And what a privilege for me, as his parent, to experience it with him.

Thanks mate. I’m in the same boat (minus Wembley pictures sadly). I’m glad I was around for 06/07, and I remember a fair amount of it (far more than many of the Clough years actually), including the day itself. But I don’t recall being hugely emotional about it all.
On being a parent, my mum has given me her ticket for Carlisle, bless her.
