Yep wouldn’t kill him to come back for half a season and help with a play-off push. He can then go in the summer

Did his UEFA A Badge when at Huddersfield. One of the draws for him originally joining us was the possibility to assist with the coaching.
With Cashin, Forsyth, Davies, Chester, Roberts and Rooney as CB options, he appears to have already dropped down to 7th choice CB.
He was interviewed on the pitch after the Torquay game (when he said Warne acts like he’s had 10 coffees) and said pretty much said he’s in a coaching role where he helps out the young lads. Seems like a useful experienced option when we need and is there to guide the young players

Who’s out injured? Warne just said 6 key players out

We've been on TV a bit of late! Good to be on the free to air channels too

Maybe if we do some creative accounting we can afford Ronaldo’s wages

Scottish referee… ?

I think Tomori paid for having two bad performances v Chelsea. Although Abraham isn’t in so maybe Southgate doesn’t rate Italian football.
it’s the same with all England managers though. When the new manager comes in after the World Cup they’ll pick a fresh squad based on form and fitness and then refuse to drop their favourites for the next 4 years

Shame. We need to practice penalties more.
including Morcambe that’s 5 out of the last 7 missed

The match thread on their forum needs updating
QuoteA recent relegation under Paul Jewell where Derby suffered the Premier League's earliest ever relegation in March and recorded the Premier League's lowest-ever points total as well as equalling the 108-year Football League record of going through an entire season with only one win.
Their most recent relegation to League 2 under Wayne Rooney included endless accumulations of points deducted for financial irregularities. It was a complete mess there but it looks like things have stabilised somewhat. It’s no longer Wayne’s World but they are on the way back.'Recent' being 14 years ago and we're in League 2 apparently.

How many penalties will we concede here? Do they use VAR at this stage in the cup?
-
Tbf we do with the money from a replay too

To be fair, what we spent on Waghorn wouldn't have kept many pensioners warm for very long, as he was an absolute snip.
this is the same Waghorn who would have fired Middlesbrough to the 2021/22 season FIFA Club World Championship if they’d signed him ahead of us (according to Steve Gibson’s fantasy football)
