Good going forward but does he have the defensive game PW would require from him?

    If the deal goes through...

I beg your pardon, he's Jacob Zetterstrom from Djurgarden, a big ray of sunshine, he'll give strikers a really hard time, so smile all the while, let's be jolly, trying to beat him is pure folly, strikers give it your best shot if you can, you won't beat Zetterstrom from Djurgarden.

What's the score on this, he asked, daring to go back to the thread title...
Charges dropped? Still under investigation? Court date set?
I don't recall anything new on this in the past (almost) 3 weeks.

What is the role of Captain at a football club. Those who watched Hourihane's interview just after he got the job last season will remember him saying how multi-facetted it is.
It's the on-field representative of the Manager.
It's a buffer between players and staff.
It's giving advice to younger players (and some older ones at that) on anything and everything from personal to playing and other issues.
Basically, you need a certain maturity to carry out the role.

I think most refs will be sensible on the booking lark. A player going mental and being demonstrably anti is going to get carded. That's obvious. A casual remark such as "I played the ball ref" made in a civil manner shouldn't lead to a card.
In the event of 7 players surrounding the ref, I'd book all 7.

I paid my fiver for Matlock. Missed the Stockport game today as I was picking my lad up. I will be paying my fiver a go for the other pre season friendlies on top of my £20 a month for RamsTV.

I pay my 20 notes a month for RamsTV. I'll be paying a fiver a go for the pre season jobs. Last season I flew over for 8 home games of which we won 7 and drew 1. I do own a firestick which cost £40 from Amazon. I pay another 60 a year for the software on the stick. I never use it for Rams games and wouldn't use it, or any other medium, to avoid paying DCFC. I use it to watch stuff I can't get over here like the Open, the rugby, cricket and the occasional programme on ITV, Channel 4 and 5 etc.
  20. Cheers

As I'm fluent in Dutch, having lived here since 1984, I'll help with the correct pronunciation of Kenzo's surname. The G in Dutch is a gutteral sound. You are probably all capable of spitting, commencing with that throaty "gargle". That's the G sound in Dutch, short and sharp so, it's the gutteral G followed by oud which rhymes with "loud" and mijn rhymes with "mine". Two syllables, Goud and mine. Simple. Hopefully @Owen87ITK will read this and correct his pronunciation of Goudmijn.

I shared this story once before when I joined this fine gathering of fellow Rams. But seeing this photo for the first time in 45 or so years this week made me decide to share it again.
Back in the 1970s, my parents were Chairman and Secretary for the South Peak Supporters branch. My old man became very friendly with the player we were given as President Ron Webster and his wife, Doreen.
He was also friends with Colin Boulton, Roger Davies, and Roy McFarland, all of whom visited our house on several occasions.
He was on the board of Roy Mac's testimonial committee, and as a way of thanking him, Roy gave my dad the shirt he wore in the Charity Shield in 1975.
Much to my eternal annoyance, I lost it around the time we moved to the US.
Sometime after the Charity Shield, the South Peak branch ran a dinner and dance at The Fishpond in Matlock Bath.
A bunch of the players came and brought with them the old First Division Trophy and the Charity Shield to show to people.
They then got hammered and forgot to take them home.
Both were in my bedroom in Bakewell for three days until the club sent someone over to collect them.
Almost as annoying as losing the shirt is the fact I have never been able to find a picture of myself with the trophies, apart from the one below taken the night before with @Eatonram.
My sister just sold the hours my mum and dad lived in at the time and I told her vainly to keep a look out for the shirt. I was hoping it had somehow got put in the loft, or stored away.
Anyway, it never resurfaced, but she found this picture.
The woman in the picture is my mum's aunt, who has been dead for 30+ years, and the photo was taken in our back garden at Bakewell. So at least Ihave proof I’m not making this up.
I cannot believe that we have one picture of two of the most iconic trophies in English sporting history between three siblings and that the only person pictured with them was a Blackpool fan.
Can you imagine Man City leaving the Premier League trophy behind in a pub and then taking 3 days to pick it up and nobody having any pictures in 30 years time?
    No, me neither.
