NegativeCreep reacted to SSD in Derby v Shrewsbury Town - Match Day Thread
I wasn't surprised by the result nor the performance.
No control yet again against a really average side who we should be dominating against. Sat on a 1 goal lead for some bizarre reason. Our only saving grace was Adams coming in and finally stopped midfield from getting bulldozed, he's a great player for this side. Exactly what we need.
Every point we have picked up since the turn of the year feels like "that'll do." The standard football is "that'll do." Unimpressive, turgid guff with no confident platform to build on if we gained promotion. Winning or drawing purely based on a team which happens to have some quality when needed, absolutely nothing to do with the manager and his setup. It's deflating and I can't believe I feel like that in a promotion race. We did get unlucky at the end with the header that somehow ended up hitting the bar. But then I'd argue we should have been 1-0 down when Bradley yet again fluffed his clearance and their lad hit it wide.
Thought the crowd gave everything for the team today and did well to put up with more horrible football on offer. It's definitely déjà vu of last season but we don't have McGoldrick to bail Warne out this time.

Today was pathetically bad. The quality of football was absolutely dross.
If Warne gets us up the chances of him keeping us up are zero in my opinion.
I look at what Ipswich did last season and are doing this season and we're a million miles away from what we "could be".
Bottom line is the football isn't good enough, I can accept poor results if we're playing the right way but the football is awful so draws like today become completely unacceptable.

I'm sorry, I can't help myself, but just to balance out this thread, we have one more point on the board, we are still second, there are 45 points still to play for, we can still get promoted, and yes I am a happy clapper!

Welcome to my world. My first trip of the season to Pride Park today. Only the second time all season that my Saturday off work has coincided with a home game so I'm taking full advantage. Don't let me down you beautiful Rams. UTR.

Not quite sure where to post this but seeing as it was supposedly part of RamsTV pre-Shrewsbury….
Great (but short) interview with Cash… the bit when he said his relationship with the fans was a big part in him signing a new deal almost brought a tear to my eye…
Man, when one talks of ‘We are Derby’…. With regard to Cash HE IS DERBY . The new Jake Buxton. 👍👍👏👏
Top-top guy. Our best signing in the window by far…🐏🐏🐏

NegativeCreep reacted to Kernow in Tyreece John-Jules - joined on a 6-month loan, extended to end of season
He won us 3 points at Port Vale which could end up being vital come the end of the season. If we do end up finishing in the top 2 this season, then he's made a contribution to that.

NegativeCreep reacted to Ram@Lincoln in Rotherham first team analyst joins
Having met him with family when he was a young boy, all I can say is that James is a lovely lad. He's a huge Derby supporter along with his family. He's put a lot of effort and sacrifice into making forging his career in football so far, and to get what would be a dream job is great to see. Sure he's joined from Rotherham but don't let that discredit his talents in the role. He's now back home with his club.
Hopefully James sticks around longer than his predecessor who only joined last January from Rotherham. Carl Edwards has now packed his bags and left for New Zealand. https://www.friendsoffootballnz.com/2023/12/08/top-analyst-to-return-to-new-zealand-for-director-of-football-role-at-papamoa/

NegativeCreep reacted to Loughborough Ram in January Reinforcements
Well, I can't tell you how furious I was last night. I felt let down, misled and angry but now is the time to move on, and get behind the players we have. There's no point at all, giving up on promotion, and moaning about our lack of depth, the hierarchy at the club, the transfer strategy, the scouting department or even the owner.
This has nothing to do with where we've come from in the last couple of years, that doesn't get you a free pass ad infinitum. The club need to look at what went wrong because they clearly had a plan and for whatever reason we came up short but there's nothing to be gained at this point, by singling out people for blame, we have to grab this league by the b**locks and forget what we haven't got.
Just one final point. I am somewhere in the middle on Paul Warne, I'm sure that he's a great bloke to know, but sometimes he gas to realise when to shut the f*** up. A lot of the feelings at the moment are down to him spouting off about what we want to do in the transfer window, just play it cool mate, tell the fans stuff on a need to know basis, lower expectations a little.
Anyway, come on you Rams, let's get the show on the road.

Am I crazy for being genuinely annoyed if we get rid of Fornah? Hopefully, it's all nonsense and he's going nowhere, but if he does go, I'd be so frustrated.

The deadline is 11pm tonight, maybe we should all wait until 11:01pm to fully panic.
EDIT - also on your point about everyone not being convinced by our one fit striker…. I am 🙋🏻♂️
Have been a fan of Collins since he signed, he’s hard working and scores goals as he has done all his career. 18 and counting for the season, 13 in the league, I’m convinced.

Presumably Fornah on his way?
Glad the midfield is being addressed, albeit I do think Fornah has been decent in his limited minutes.

NegativeCreep reacted to DCFC1388 in Lee Gregory (again)
If i remember rightly him & Waggy looked good together upfront in the season behind closed doors before injury hit.
Gregory would chip in with a few goals for sure, and as well as proving cover for Collins should he get injured/suspended, he would also give us a chance to actually rest Collins abit more rather than him having to play full 90s every game.

CHARLTON !!! Like the team in 18th who are 19 points off the playoffs. A team who have 1 league win since October (2 after Saturday). I doubt very much they will even sniff the playoffs.
