  1. CONGRATULATIONS.

Great news and a great relief.

So please for all my Derby supporting Family & Friends and of course all of you lot here.

Yes, I will admit it now, I am a Forest fan, but contrary to popular belief, there is no law that means being a Forest fan means you have to hate Derby.

Delighted that you are now owned by someone who genuinely loves the club. I  have to say CK struck me as another Fawaz and I think you dodged a bullet big time.

Anyway,  enjoy celebrating this weekend,  then relax and enjoy your summer.

And if you lot can carry the spirit and togetherness you showed last season into this one, it hopefully wont be too long before we can resume those fantastic A52 derbies......hopefully in the PL!

    Take care all,

    Rich.

Surely it will be Rosenior with the current staff as they are under contract for another year and we can’t afford to pay them off or if we poach someone pay any compo. How will all this sit in the business plan we have to put to the EFL. Sad that Wayne has gone been a good frontman for the club but wouldn’t have been here for too long I think -if he’d done well he would have been taken by someone and if we had a bad season he’d have had to go

Just considering contracts and the loophole that a couple of players are exploring, could the new owners rip up those contracts and offer new contracts?

If so, they could make those contracts unappealing and remove the staff that way if they wished?

    Dunno the answer BTW.

  3. I have massive respect for how Rooney has handled himself through this difficult time and the way he galvanised the spirit between Club, Players and fans.

But I can't help feeling there is more to this story. Maybe it will come out in time.

In the meantime, with regards to who is next. Rosenior makes massive sense for continuity of last season's work and the work that will have been done in building a squad.

My only doubt is Rooney's statement about it needing someone with fresh energy and unaffected by last season's difficulties.

    Is Rosenior unaffected?

Unless the loan is to secure funding for the whole season in which case it’s going to be a big loan.

    That's the scary bit.

Reports suggest that this months wages are £1.6m (when is pay day BTW?). Obviously that will come down massively, but there are all the other associated costs with running a football club. Matchday costs, policing etc, transport, hotels,  kit, ground maintenance,  god the list is so long.

What sort of cost are we looking at?

    £8m?, £10m? ????

Who is going to lend it and against what?

And then there is the interest to pay?

Is this just prolonging the agony, or are Q holding a genuine bid that could effect a sale in 6-12 weeks?

Something has to be done to focus a few minds on the bigger picture here - seems some of the rich folk are still looking for a cut-price deal.....

Can it really be so hard for Q to set out the minimum amount that needs to be paid to meet each of the scenarios (2 years,

What we need to appreciate is that there are 2 sets of "Rich Folk" supposedly interested in the club.

Set 1. The MA type, who are looking for a business opportunity and will only pay what they feel it's worth to them as an opportunity.

Set 2. The AA type, who have an affection for the club and don't want to see its demise. They either cant raise the cash, or have a strict limit. After all, they didn't really want to buy the club or they would have been at the table with a serious offer long ago. They just now want to try and save it.

This is how I see the current situation.

Hmrc are a creditor. Who will get nothing if Derby folds. I think we have had that discussion before.

HMRC are a creditor who battled to get their status enhanced for exactly this type of situation.

I dont believe they will expect 100% recovery, but do believe they are not going to let Football Clubs have their pants down anymore.

MSD or the so called well healed local businessmen who are supposedly happy to fund until a takeover

I think the local businessmen story is just I'm afraid....rumours.

As for MSD loan. Will they loan anymore? Who or what can it be secured against? And in the end is more debt to be settled by any prospective buyers.

I can't remember where I read it, but someone said that the HMRC deal is 25% now followed by another 25% over three years. I think (without checking) that the total is £36m, meaning we'd repay £9m upfront and another £9m over the next three years. No idea how true this is, but doesn't sound too far-fetched.

That would stack up with what I suggested about half of CKs alledged £21.4m going straight to HMRC as an upfront with further payments over 3 years.

  9. I think he can see a situation where he would be starting his managerial career with one hand tied behind his back.

He saw the difficulty of that last season,  but this would be different. Failure means inevitable sack and his management career ends as fast as it starts.

Hes being very sensible in making sure he gives himself every opportunity to make a successful start.

Is it the seeson start? I thought the EFL were implying fixture release date? We need something to make the 'best and final' bids come in. Plus before all the rest of the players don't re-sign and Q sell the others?!

The club can start the season in administration. That is clear in the EFL rules.

The problem which needs to be urgently solved is providing proof to the EFL of funding for the season.

It appears that if that is not provided by ????? then the EFL can withdraw membership.

The takeover doesn't need to be completed by the fixture release date provided funding is guaranteed.

Why would a potential owner want to start next season on -15 points, therefore taking on risk that we would be relegated again at the end of the season, with a massive drop in revenue. It will be also more difficult to attract players when the club is cut adrift at the bottom of the league from day one. Can’t see it happening?

That's not what I was saying.

I was just trying to express that points penalties are not (my) most pressing topic in the grand scheme of things.

Saving the club now is paramount, if points penalties are avoided as well......Bonus!

Football hatred on twitter is vile but on this DCFC fans forum I cannot remember ever seeing such extremes but admit the mods would remove. However, the name of the forum is a clue here and your posts are often so negative it is no wonder your support of dcfc is questioned on a dcfc fans forum. And football rivalry however vitriolic can never be ranked with racism or homophobia where legal protections against quite rightly apply.

If you actually look through my posts, you will find plenty of positive ones.

You will also find plenty of acknowledgment and shared opinion of my concerns (or perceived negative posts) and you will find plenty of other posters voicing similar or worse concerns than mine.

And you are correct, there is no evidence of hatred on this forum and there are several posters on here who were initially suspicious of my motives that now appear to have accepted that I have no agenda here.

I am just a very concerned bystander with some very long standing personal attachments to the club.

I cant help feeling and seeing what I see. I called CK out with the holding email / tweet before the bank holiday, I called out the bank holiday lies too. I'm not looking for a pat on the back and nor do I take any pleasure from it. I look forward to the day I can say good luck for the future with your new owner and disappear back under my stone.

But, in the meantime I continue to read between the lines of all the statements and press stories as I am not as emotionally attached as you guys.

As I've said before, as a football fan I know what it means to you and how much you must be hurting.

My choice of club doesn't change that. ❤

Yes takes lots of guts to post under a pseudonym online whilst not confirming which team you support. Bravery medal's in the post

    Pseudonym?

With respect, your post says an awful lot. It suggests that a judgement would be made on me based upon the team I support regardless of whether my motives and reasons for being here are genuine or not.

I guess if I float I'm a witch is the same as being a Forest or Leeds fan?

All you really need to know as to why I'm here is what I've previously posted.

Apart from that underneath it all I'm a football fan. And true football fans know and care about what you guys on here are feeling regardless of who they support.

Football is nothing without the other 91 Clubs, their fans and the rivalry and banter that goes with it.

Football hatred ranks with racism and homophobia as far as I'm concerned.
