The team is called Derby County not Derby City.
There's loads of Rams up that way.

There's no way on this planet Notts Police agree to having Derby play at Meadow Lane, no chance on earth.
I find it odd people would also even want to play in Nottingham?
If it's a case of club or no club, Chesterfield is the best choice.  I know attendance isn't ideal, but needs must, the situation isn't based on things being ideal anyway...
Chesterfield are a community owned club too, so i'd suspect they'd be more than happy for the extra income.

That is bad news.  Personally think not selling Lawrence... etc in Jan was a hugely bad decision, gambled on staying up and the money brought in plus big savings on salary would have perhaps meant this type of business could have been avoided.

Just don't see CK buying the club.  He's been keen to big himself up about all the money he's got, but he can't afford to buy the stadium?
So he wants the club, but the asset that holds all the value to make his purchase worthwhile... can't afford it.
Something isn't quite right with him.

He's setting himself up to walk off and blame Morris.  How vocal (and unprofessional) he has been about Morris from the start rang alarm bells with me.  Any smart businessman wouldn't talk that way about someone they really need on their side to get the deal done.

What this has all done though, has given him a big platform and got his name out there more.

Frees are going to be the targets, and loans.
Look at clubs are are likely to be at the top who have L1 experienced players who are out of contract, and give them an opportunity to play for a club bigger than they ever normally would get chance to.  That's the club's USP, cos money isn't going to be.
'Come train at a genuinely top class facility and a large stadium with more support than you're used to experiencing'.

Harry McKirdy will be out of contract from Swindon and is having an amazing season.
Elliott Moore at Oxford is a good CB.
Josh Vela at Shrews is a good CM who moves the ball well.
There's plenty around who have talent and know their way about League 1, which you absolutely need to compete at that level.

Any vibe from Buchanan?  I know his form has been indifferent, but I think he could be a Premier League player in time.  Would be a painful departure for £0. Been at Derby since he was 9/10.

From my very subjective research at the Supporters Club event last night, ? I think Lawrence, Ebiowei, Knight will go, possibly Sibley - seems genuinely upset he is not getting more pitch time. Kazim already gone in his head, didn't even bother to do the meet and greet bit of the evening. Whereas Plange and Ebosele really enjoyed themselves!
Morrison struggled to cope with being in a room with us all but seemed to appreciate the love.
Bielik is either a good liar or definitely wants to stay. He is such a good conversationalist, as are Ryan Allsop and Nathan Byrne - he seems keen to stay too, says he loves it here, but will surely get offers from Championship clubs.
All the rest of the young lads seem to want to stay, they love us fans. Let's see if they change their minds when the offers come in.
Cybulski was so excited to start but knew he needs to improve, says he wants to stay his whole career, which will no doubt thrill you cynics over in the matchday thread. ?
Wayne did comment in one of his speeches (he made several) that we need to be patient over the next couple of games as he will continue to be looking at potential within the squad for next season.  He didn't sound like he was going anywhere. ?

Athletic again saying Buchanan has a lot of interest, and one club is Forest whom seem to have been after him for a while.  Makes you wonder if his agent has been up to no good and sorted something there?
Article the other day also stated he and Ebiowei's one year extension options in favour of the club have expired.
Just have to hope a deal to buy the club is done before July 1st, so a new contract can be offered to both, so then at least the club gets some compo.  To lose them on a free would be awful.

Rooney has done himself and the club so proud, considering the circumstances the fact that relegation is still not official is amazing and he deserves great credit.

However, his criticism of officials if getting embarrassing.  There's been plenty of decision that we have benefitted from, including the Allsopp one today.

He comes across as a bit of a Alex Ferguson spoilt brat with his moaning.  Decisions go both ways, Wayne, accept it.  You're getting a reputation as a moaner, just manage what you can, stop trying to manage officials.

I agree that a lot of people will be acting very hypocritically when discussing the content of those tweets.  They're awful things to say, but you can accept he was a younger and probably a bit of an idiot.  It screams of being a bit of a yank 'jock' type.
For me, it's the fact he was not wise enough to cover his tracks before deciding to be so vocal on a public forum.  He was actively putting his name out there, flying across the World to come to Derby, so he was well aware of publicity and the need to generate positivity to his name.  But he's been stupid enough to not consider the other side of that.
If he had a smart support team, they'd be telling him to just take it on the chin, say he said some very stupid things as a younger man growing up, they're not representative of him now nor his beliefs and he deleted it all to move forward and present the true version of himself in readiness for entering football ownership.
But no, he said, 'they're just movie quotes' via a 'spokesperson'.  Maybe one or two of them are, some blatantly aren't and it just makes him look stupid.
I don't think any of us can judge what his potential ownership may look like off the back of tweets, but it does say something about his maturity, awareness and perhaps ignorance to what owning a football club of this size in the UK.

What infuriates me is this admin, supported by fans ignoring the obvious impending relegation, refused to sell players who wont be here next season.

Costs could have been limited, meaning loans with expensive interest rates could have been limited and funds could have been brought into to support funding and reducing creditors costs, all in the name of some stupid idea of staying up.  What good has it done? None.

I was ridiculed when suggesting the Admin should sell anyone who's contract expires this summer, now what.  Players are and will leave anyway for nothing, and the club will still be League One.  Idiocy, head-in-sand ignorance, all in the name of 'fighting to the end'.

So fed up that the Admin seem to be no different from passionate fans who can't see beyond the end of their nose.  Mel Morris is blatantly still involved, already charging the club rent on the stadium he owns, refusing to take a loss on it.  He chose this Admin team and boy, does it show.

As I have said before and was lambasted for, Q have acted entirely amateurish and it has all the hallmarks that Mel Morris still has his dirty little fingers involved in this particular pie.

People have buried their heads in the sand in hope and blind faith, and I understand why.  But from not cutting costs earlier, to not acknowledging issues and thinking they would just go away, to absolutely disgraceful levels of communication, led by either ignorance arrogance or maybe both.
