Still can't believe Coutts got through the Watford defence like he did, watched it 10 times now on FLS (iPlayer) and he just muscled his way through. Was he bossing the midfield like that all afternoon??

Most of the time, he did something very similar in the first half near the corner flag

Just seen the goals, Conner Salmon you BEAST! great to see some aggression upfront! cant wait to see the full game on rams player.

COYR!

Woke up late this morning. Had a few weird dreams, including one where we won 5-1 yesterday.

Guess I picked a good day not to give up drinking 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Congrats to the players and management by the way. I also dreamt that some people were moaning about it all after the game!

So much for Bris Vegas's assessment.

"Coutts is a sideways passer with little movement.. ie. Paul Thirlwell.. One I like to call a passenger who offers no attacking threat from midfield.. I hate these types of footballers (Thirlwell, Parker, Coutts, Greening)"

Where is that ray of sunshine anyway?

la partita contro l'Udinese

Year 2012, september one

The football season had begun

And Nigel Clough's new Derby team

Were set to struggle it would seem.

Two points from nine was all their tally

We wondered if they'd ever rally.

Three teams alone were doing worse

They were right down at twenty first

Watford today, we all thought bitterly,

The team that's known as Little Italy,

We little knew what to expect,

And felt our winning chance was wrecked.

How wrong we were! Right from the start,

The Derby team played with fresh heart!

In 16 minutes Keogh scored

By half-time three were on the board

Hendrick second, Sammon third

Something amazing had occurred

Hughes 52, Ward 67

It seemed we'd died and gone to Heaven

Five up and 23 to go

We dared to hope we'd won, you know

In 74 they got one back

By Vydra in a rare attack

But still we won five goals to one

Could a revival have begun?

I think that we can now aspire

To reach 14th and climb much higher.

Come on yer Rams!

That's got to be the worst poem I've ever heard, surely you can do better! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Pretty standard.

How many assists is he on? 3/4 already? Before we got onto the whole "assists don't mean nothing" argument, the crosses Coutts delivers are very dangerous. Aswell as obviously having the winger like attacking mentality he has (despite being pretty slow in my opinion) he's a great attacking asset to our team.

As said, the run for Wards goal was terrific. Alot of people bum ward for runs like that, yet Ward hardly makes anything of them, what a square ball from Coutts, thats how you do it Jamie!

Could easily turn out to be Clough's best ever signing, for a measly 150k.

Bit of a random point to bring out but i've only just remembered..

I'm not sure many, if anyone, will remember but I really liked the tackle Jeff Hendrick put in straight after his goal. I've been a bit critical of him being abit of a soft touch in midfield and i'm not sure if it was still the adrenaline from his goal but he didn't half whack his opposite number straight after kick off. A tackle i'd normally associate with midfield bruisers like Carsley, Scholes etc, really let the watford midfielder know he was there. Nice to see, I hope he can add abit more of that to his game.

Clearly spoken by someone who had never seen him play. In pres-season and in the league he has been the main driver from midfield. Terrific yesterday, looks a real bargain and adds some much needed oomph!

My description of Coutts was pretty much spot on, plenty of sideways passing, gives the ball away often yet attempts many surging runs with the ball similar to Pearson.. Although he seems more effective than that donkey..

But don't choose games to try and make a point.. Coutts was crap at Bolton but I nevr said 'I told you so'

I could easily tell you that Tyson is an amazing striker and finisher, g and watch that Man City game.. Or Bob Malcom is as good as Lee Carsley in the DM role, watch his debut away a Wolves.

Delighted we won but we won't have an easier game all season.. I remember beating Palace 5-0 the other season where Brayford was literally a league above, he's never replicated the same performance.. For our sake let's hope yesterday wasn't Coutts best game of the season.
