Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Don't mind if the puns start on page 7 after there has been room for some sensible discussion but when it is on post number 2 of every thread it does get a bit tedious.

I'd like to think I'm not a boring miserable old sod but at the end of the day I do come on here to look for Derby County news.

I couldn't agree more. It's got to the point where I think twice before looking up transfer posts. The trouble is that , when you post about this (which I have previously) some self styled "wag" will respond with yet another unfunny pun. It's bad enough having to read posts from people who don't know the difference between "have" and "of" ( e.g. "he could of") never mind page after page of tiresome puns. If I was a moderator I would kill these pun posts off before they got to the message board

It's only been in 3 threads recently with 3 or 4 pages on crap rumours out the tabloids, would of took no longer than 5 minutes to scan through all 3 of those threads. In fact had we all posted long winded replies about the player it would of took you longer to realise that there was nothing in the rumour.

This forum was built on banter, I'm not going to apologise for that and we don't hold any members here hostage.

If you were a moderator, I think the forum would kill itself.

The last two post's puns have been ****

Just saying

I assume your play on words is in the reference to "post" as this could describe an item used to support a fence. Both of these items are sometimes made of wood. Now the opening pun was made around "Thorne's" and progressed into tree's and so forth, so I can relate your comment to the opening gambit.

But as you said, the last two puns were, in your words, "****" but looking back at your effort, I tend to want to extend your count to the last 3.

Of course, this is my opinion, and is open to objection. In fact you may like to defend your actions by countering a " i didn't intend to insert a pun " claim.

So, to sum up, I admire your stealthy play on words in the aforementioned post. Take hearty praise from the pun fraternity here on dcfcfans.co.uk

Bravo.

It's hard to be serious in these transfer threads when the club has said we're happy with the squad ATM and will be keeping the same 16/17 faces.

The puns might stop when the transfer window is actually open and/or there's actually some truth in some garbage paper talk.

Is me grammar ok or does I kneed, to! Improve?

Does it even matter?

Zz

When the thorne is on the ground, there's lots of sod around.
