rynny
We agreed to the EPPP so if it comes back to bite us on the ass, we can't complain... I think it's unfair to run the rule for everyone, if a club wanted to opt out, then there academy should be run as normal without the premiership money to help support it, and the ones that wanted the money and agreed to the EPPP then so be it. It's another vile inclusion on football, we can steal players from other teams however so I suppose its dog eat dog. I think we were 1 of the few clubs that didn't agree to it. Ambitious
I think we were 1 of the few clubs that didn't agree to it. Glick openly said we voted in favour of the EPPP when it came out so many agreed to it, I hoped we wouldn't be one... but infact we was. Donny Ram
Under the EPPP rules the big clubs could take him for £150,000, max. before the age of 17. Chelsea, Man City, Manure, Arsenal and Spurs could snap up the 20 best 15/16 year olds in the country for around £2m total if they so wished. Lets say Spurs spent £500k on 4 lads like Bennett........if only one of them turned out a Prem player they've hit the jackpot. Arsenal would have only paid £300k for Walcott AND Oxtail-Chamberpot...... The fact is Bennett could go for as little as £150k before he's 17 and there's nowt we can do about it. Not entirely true Uttox as Mason has appeared for the first team and the rules are slightly different in this case I'm led to believe. Also the regulations are still governed by travel distance to any potential new club.Discussion forums spread the worst case information and not necessarily the full details. Leicester Ram
When I got my offer to go to Man United I decided to stay at Derby, because the rest of them were **** and make me look good.

The only reason that a club should have accepted this is if they are looking to be a category 1 academy. I can just imagine us in cat 1 and forest cat 2/3 and we take there decent youth players for peanuts 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Fair enough Donny. I have tried to find the full rules/regs of the EPPP but not had enough time yet. If anyone knows where they can be found we can post them up and have a proper look at them. davenportram
Can Mason Bennett go out on loan? A friend said he is too young is he right? you can have youth loans i think but personally think its better fir him to be here and used exactly the way the club want him to be
randombc
I didn't think a player could go out on loan until he was 17? Clough would want him to stay here anyway, he'll probably be close to the starting XI next season, so I doubt he'll be going anywhere.

It is like a emergency loan that is a maximum of 93 days.
Stedcfc
Highly doubt Derby are going to make a 16 year old lad live in a hotel for 6 months on his own for the sake of a loan. Would probably do more bad than good.

Big Dave
He isnt gonna be going out on loan now with Tyson gone! Unless we were to bring a replacement for tyson in. I just wonder if this increases our chances of a bid for Wes Thomas. I do doubt we will send Mason out on loan though!!
