Ten men, we only had ten men.  Ain't got a clue what year 😄

I'm hopeless with years but they had Steve McClaren in charge (briefly) and our line-up is some way from looking like his one after replacing NC, so I'll go autumn of the previous season: 2012?

2013 home to Ipswich.

1-4 at half-time under Wassall; legend has it that Steve McClaren entered the dressing room and suggested a few changes.

(I didn’t remember this bit but judging by the info, maybe he just went in and said “Right, get Conor Sammon off, now!”)

Stormed back for a 4-4 draw. Steve Mac took over fully the following day. Adventures were had.

FA Charity Shield. 1975. King Charlie's first game for us.

Versus West Ham United.

Question: why didn't Derby contest the 1972 Charity Shield? (It looks like it was Man City v Villa.)

In those days, you could decline to play the game and both Derby and Leeds did so.

I think it was due to the possibility of late international duty due to Euro 1972.

Perhaps in the end it didn't matter as England only lasted another five  days after the season ended.(13th May).

Norwich away. Problem with the floodlights (or have I imagined that?)

It was under Lampard but can't remember which side of Christmas it was... 2019?

Norwich yes, but slightly out on the year...

One of my favourite ever away games. (A) because it's only up the road from me and (B) yes, one of the floodlights went out so there was a ten minute delay when we were losing 3-2 from memory.  Then two glorious late goals and it was back to the pub to celebrate!

OK must have been 2018 then but possibly not by much!

29th December 2018.

Brilliant weekend, we stayed at the Holiday Inn at the ground, we had Dinner at Delia’s restaurant after the match, the waitress said she came into the kitchen after the match with a face like thunder.
