Dates I tend to forget, that what wives are for!

I remember how I heard Elvis was dead. On holiday in a Welsh cottage.  Knock on the door; this guy found my wallet by my car. As he turns to go he says "Elvis just died, terrible isnt it"

9/11 was on a conference call to the US (not New York) when there was a commotion at that end and line went dead. Someone our end yells there's been a terrible crash. When it sank in we spent the rest of the day trying to contact everyone we knew who was travelling into, out of, or within the States.  We found everyone was safe except  our bosses secretary who was on holiday in the US. We knew she planned to go to New York but not when. She called next day. She'd been hiking somewhere and didnt know what was going on.

No mate.  Girlfriends for dates... Leave the wife at home.  You can always bring some flowers home from the garage next morning.
