We had a break-in almost 3 weeks ago.

The toughened glass pane in the back door had been smashed, and the Police called out a company called Rapid Secure in order to effect temporary repairs. Their bill arrived 3 days later, and I paid it immediately by BACS transfer. The insurers likewise reimbursed me two days after that, upon receipt of proof of payment. Today, I received a final demand for payment from Rapid Secure. I checked my bank statement - the invoice number and reference were both clearly indicated as the comment on the payment.

I have emailed Rapid Secure giving them full details of the payment, but it's yet another worry. Also, the glass in the back window has not yet been replaced. We were told '10 days' by the local UPVC specialist, but it's already been two weeks.

On the plus side, my alarm system, motion sensors and cameras are great.
