It was about 6 yards away and the ref was talking to our players. The ref blew before he shot, so Marshall didn't make a proper attempt. Fact.

I think the ref talking to our players is irrelevant, unless he called him/them over to discuss the foul.  Players arguing against the free kick isn't an excuse not to take the free kick quickly. Hopefully, it will be a lesson learned for our players, one player should stand in front of the ball, other teams do it and I noticed we did later in the game.

Well I have to say we have got very lucky tonight wycombe got a good goal ruled out and we struggled to get to grips with them. And then we scored from a corner but from own goal coming of there defender but right at the last few seconds of the game waghorn free kick hit the post and there was andrew wisdom knock ball home to seal all 3 points which now lifts us to 16th in the table I think.

But I have to give some prise wycombe they have a very talented team if they can carry on there performance they stand a fight chance of staying up. I do hope that they do as not been to there ground yet sadly.

If I was young Andre I would want you to describe it as thundering or at very least, lashing the ball home. Not sure if knocking give enough kudos to his first goal since he was 11

The ball wasn’t moving if you watch it back, just blew for offside. Marshall tried to make a save too.

oh, and it was in the area of the initial foul too.

apart from all that, you’re spot on ?

Too quick, wrong place, moving ball and the ref blew before he shot. Marshall made no attempt to save it.

If you look at this picture, the ball isn’t moving either

Damn right B4. In our position, every win is an absolutely vital one, no matter how they come. We were extremely lucky to get anything out of last night considering our performance, yet alone a win, but those 3 points could be the difference between us getting relegated and staying up. So who cares how they came about! Anyway, these things even themselves out across the season - we’ve dropped points when we deserved to win the game plenty of times this season. So it’s about time we got a jammy last minute win!

I think teams should be allowed to take free kicks quickly if they want. Otherwise you are punishing the team that has been transgressed against.

Those fouls that are aimed at taking an attacker down so the defence can re-group are one of the worst things in football.

Yep, why should the team that broke the rules be allowed to reset their position. I love a quick free kick that punishes offenders. As long as it’s not a moving ball!

Watch it again, it was less than 2 yards away, the lad put his hand on the ball before he kicked it, I agree Marshall didn’t make a proper save, as he was beaten by a good strike.

With that, I rest my case.

Interesting.
