It's not just Van Dijk. It's him, Gomez AND Matip.

They had only lost 1 game all season before they were forced to play Henderson CB (16 games). They've lost 7 of the 11 since.

How many of them have they failed to score in....or is that down to the centre backs being injured as well ?‍♂️

He has had plenty of time to get replacements in...and has failed.

have they sacked him yet? ha ha

So you’re saying playing Henderson at CB was a mistake?

All this ******** about the defence.

Scored 2 in the last 7 home games. Dominated many of them. That's not a defensive issue.

Bad form, without a doubt, but only the 2 Manchester clubs have scored more than them this season. Liverpool 47, Man Utd 53, Man City 56.

They haven't been dominating as much as they are capable of recently, you would imagine losing your defence would effect the rest of the team mentally, has there ever been a team that has lost a number of key defenders but continue to bag goals at the other end, losing games by being outscored 5-4 and that?

I get that missing, or having to move the spine of the team, will change what happens going forwards.

But take the Leipzig game. They played how Liverpool would want you to. And they got well beaten. The capability is there. It just seems like if you set up to push them out wide and pack the middle of the park/box they won't score. People used to fear them down the width of the park. TAA and Robertson bombing on, and the pace of Mane and Salah - both capable of traveling with the ball at speed and cutting in on their stronger foot.

What everyone used to fear, seems to be their weakness. Make them go out wide.

Didn't watch the game to be honest, not watched a lot of Premier League football at all over the past couple of months, the title has been wrapped up and the relegation battle always leaves me a little skittish watching, knowing 3 of them will be down with an unfair advantage on the rest of the Championship.

?

Guess you mean Lee Grant playing through injury and the loss of Chris Martin, was that the same season?

Either way, it's a little different as the injuries were over different positions, where it's Liverpool's defence that has been obliterated and the midfield that were covering have also been hit.

More chance of Klippety Flop getting his bunch of jokers to catching Ole.. (which incidentally is the same gap of 11 points...so the victims are 22 points behind City.....closer to being relegated than they are to winning their first title in 32 years)

Any chance of Fraudiola winning the Champions League, like he was brought in to do? Klopp has already managed it, as well as lifting the Premier League title
