Probably just that they’ve spent most of their time with the first team pre-season so need some minutes with the U23’s as it’s the last friendly. Mitchell-Lawson looked exciting in his cameo towards the end of last season but it's Whittaker who had the trip to Florida and has appeared in the first team friendlies.
