A couple of amusing comments

They both make me want to stick pins in my eyes.

Reach, Jones, Butterfield, Wallace (apart from goal), Woeful stagnant midfield  Sideways backwards Sideways

But more worryingly

I would send butterfield back

Owls talk never disappoints.

Yikes their fans are actually paying attention. Was hoping they wouldn’t see it.

No doubt he will be back at the end of the season as I can’t see them buying him

Their manager will get sacked soon if they play like today.

Butterfield's future is certainly unclear. Not wanted by Rowett, a current manager in troubles...

Butterfield looked good when he arrived. He has quick feet, is good in tight situations, and at that time actually scored goals

he is an othodox midfielder.

when the midfield become specialised into defensive midfielders or attacking midfielders then he doesn't really fit. There are better defenders, and better attackers.

Somewhere a long the line he also got very negative, and the sidewards and backwards stuff eventully drove me crackers.

How any one at any point thought Butterfield is a good footballer is beyond me. Yes he's got 2 good feet but at no point has he produced and we spunked £5 mil on him.

Bloody scandalous!

Don't agree. You don't play almost 300 league games in midfield if he's as bad as you're saying. He is a decent player who came to us at a difficult time, was hardly ever played in his best position and now he's getting hammered by Wendies fans when their problems lie much deeper-rooted than Butterfield. Some of the criticism is more than likely due to the fee we paid but that's not his fault, blame those who paid the money.

He gave the best midfield performance in the Championship at Pride Park that I've seen when playing for Barnsley but obviously his time with us is most likely over, we've moved on so why not just let it go.
