TomBustler1884
From my day job! I really hope this happens - looks great and a big statement for Derby city centre. http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/the-10-storey-apartment-complex-that-would-overlook-derby-s-river-derwent/story-29557071-detail/story.html#p21AmBxIK4IX2x17.
Stive Pesley
Looks good - I assume this is dependent on the flood defence work finishing. Once that is done it's a good little spot. I'm also a big fan of the art deco Exeter House flats behind it, so I hope they keep those too
TomBustler1884
This could happen before flood defences are put in as it's set back from the flood line. You can see in the image there is space between the building and The Tap? That is part of the flood defence corridor, hence the open space and green wall. JoetheRam
Shame you won't actually be able to buy them. Yet another kick in the teeth for generation rent.
May Contain Nuts
I'm not sure that the people who can afford to rent such places are going to be the people who want to live that close to the city centre, or that close to the people who live in the Exeter House flats! The old car showroom / Housing Options Centre (worked there in 2005/2006) is a dead space though, so at least someone has plans for it. There used to be a cob shop there too, it only had one sink for both food prep and toilet use! On the subject of cob shops, whatever happened to Fannies? It was called something far less charming the last time I went that way.

It was guaranteed to make me and me mates snigger every Saturday morning, as we went past on the way to The Race Course to play. The humour of 12 year olds eh... Stive Pesley
Ah Fannies - I remember the staff. A man and a woman and a more elderly lady Never knew their real names - they were just Mr Fannie, Mrs Fannie and Granny Fannie to us!

Rev
I like how the architect has made every possible effort to blend into the local surroundings.
