If we get promoted

It seems like a hypothetical question at this point, but stranger things have probably happened. Anything can happen in the championship and plenty of bad teams have snuck up via the play-offs before.

Would Wassall keep his job? He's clearly not cut out to survive the Premier League but at the same time sacking him would be a bit bizarre and could potentially de-stabilise the club.

Perhaps the best option would be to bring in an experienced manager but keep Wassall around the club as a coach/assistant manager. Maybe even promote him to a director of football role.

Even with promotion, I dont actually think wassall would be given the job.

mel didnt ever really think he was going to sack PC until he did, he didnt have a list of candidates waiting, nor did he know his strategy.

the wassall appointment gave him time, and was safe (in his eyes) because DW knew the club, and the style mcclaren brought in, was one trying to be replicated throughout the academy.

Who in their right mind would want to get promoted in this state. Just look at us.

Hey, it could be worse, Mel could sell us to Donald Trump and we would find ourselves once again hating on Americans.

If it works, it works.

Just because the face doesn't fit, doesn't mean we should cut our nose off to spite our face.

There is plenty of talent in the squad to work with. Wassall has managed to get the likes of Martin and Ince back up to match winning, well drawing, pace, it'll be interesting to see what Redknapp can do with regards to having an impact.
