Would be great if the can get presented with the trophy at Chelsea on the last day. Great for Leicester and for Ranieri.

I'd love ranieri and Leicester to do it. Even though i don't really like Leicester - chav world.

but wouldn't it be great to stick two fingers up the billionaires.

the more i think about it though, the more i think they'll cock it up.

Pray for vardy's hamstrings.

Leicester's owner is Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. Net worth $2.9 billion.

Besides, I hate Leicester. Live in the county, worked in Leicester for several years. Bunch of vvankers. Got this patronising attitude when they're winning,  pretend they're Rugby follows when they're losing.

Most of the in-laws are, or have been, season ticket holders. Hope they blow it.

Not that I'm bitter.....

250k v 72k is a swing of 178k.  2 other teams can win it, 50k on each and leaving the bet on Leicester would have given more than 100k return should they not do it.  I'm with Muespach on this, and doubt anyone had a bet that size and cashed out, with them odds you would just cover it.....of course you would have to find that 100k you left lying around.

but noone has staked a "massive" amount. They've only staked £20 or £50.

50 quid at 5000-1 is a massive amount, and the cash out amount of 72k does not make sense, that's a third of the odds.  The point of cash out is to make it look attractive which this is not, as it would be very easy to use arbitrage betting to make   a lot more money than 72k.

I can see evidence of people cashing out a month ago and getting a third of the odds, but with less than 10 games to go and 5 points clear, I'd be very surprised if the bookmakers haven't improved their cash out offer to reduce their potential losses.

£50 is not a massive stake, and could be seen as a "fun" throw away bet. More so the guy who only staked £20. You talk about making other bets and leaving the bet going to cover the option of them losing. But these aren't big time Charlies with cash to burn.

I think your missing my point, they don't need cash to burn as its guaranteed money, it just doesn't make sense to take the odds you are talking about when they are no improvement on what the bookies were offering a month ago, and with the foxes being in a much better position.

As I said though, they would need a bit of cash to pull if off, and if it was me I would beg and borrow enough to keep the bet running until the end of the season whilst covering the 72k cash out option....c30k on spurs and c20k on Arsenal would do this.

but how many people would be able to raise that much cash? And lets face it for many people £72k would be life changing.

the Leicester fan who put £50 on them to win the title has just cashed out. If he'd waited to the end of the season and they won he'd have got £250k. He cashed out for £72k.

I would have cashed out.... Then would of put half on a hand of Blackjack and the other half on red in a casino... Then probably sell the contents of my house to try and win it all back

I very nearly put £20 on Leicester early in the season when they were looking sharp and the bookies still didn't believe they'd make it this far. It had 700 odd quid return still. I really cannot believe I bottled a 20 pound bet.

In my head was, "I don't think I'm in any financial position to throw twenty quid away on a stupid whim like Leicester winning the league. Such an idea is pure folly".
