My chronic Vodafone home broadband had been allowing me to watch 2 or 3 passes before a freeze (and I'd been watching whole games under these conditions in the past) ,but today I fished out an old O2 (now 3) dongle and bought a day pass,giving me 500Mb usage. Like a fool,I forgot to exit at half time to save data,and it flopped after 84 minutes.By the time I'd worked out what had happened and got Vodafone to kick in (very slowly) ,I saw the players coming off down the tunnel. Might be time to change supplier for home broadband though.Wouldn't do any good - you're badly turned over in rural areas over here.What hacks me off is that I changed from the O2 dongle to Vodafone because a door to door rep told me I'd be able to watch streaming ok.Like a fool,I signed a 2 year contract ,to get me a free router (times very hard).My sentence finishes in July.I've paid quite a bit more monthly,in percentage terms,for something that gave a worse performance than that which was being replaced. These two guys that sit behind us at every game just moan for the full 90 minutes, even in games where we are winning by a couple. They talk absolute rubbish as well. Dawkins played well today and they couldn't understand why he was even a professional footballer. Anyway they left early and missed the goal. Dawkins gets berated no matter what he does, didn't put a foot wrong for me when he came on and playing centrally behind the strikers is exactly where he should be playing imo. He turned and played bent in almost at one point which is exactly why I think he should be playing at the point of the three, preferably with thorne and hughes. I don't get why McClaren persists with playing him out wide where he has no end product. Through the middle he could cause so many problems for other teams. The was the funniest moment of the game apart from the two guys sat behind me missing Bent's goal was when everyone, including these idiots who sit behind me were screaming Wide Wide Wide to Keogh who had a little bit of space in our own half and their winger ready to close him down. Dawkins instead turned as you say and played Bent in who nearly scored the Keeper just beat him to it. The worst part was after Bent didn't score these guys behind me sat there and said why didn't Dawkins run with it. I just turned around and laughed at them. For me though it was the lack of team that really shone through. The players are good enough but the team is non existent and that is management s fault. When Dav talks about us losing the buzz, I know what he means - there's definitely something no longer there that once was. There's all sorts of football jargon to describe it, whether it be buzz, momentum, impetus...whatever you want to call it, you know what it is and you know it's no longer there.I'm going to treat the Newcastle rumours as just rumours. While I could believe that there's an air of uncertainty in the camp, I can't really see how anything is a "done deal" with our manager. And even if that was true, it's simplistic to blame everything on that. At the moment, it all feels very 2007. If we do go up, I'd be worried about a summer of instability ruining our preparations. "No passion or commitment." stock reply to any performance that is poor. Poor doesn't = lack of effort. And it was abysmal on every level. McClaren should resign? Who you got lined up for us.
