valleyram
Hughes and Eustace for definite, tough to call between hendrick and bryson. Difficult to drop Bryson, we know how mardy he gets, eh valley? Ha ha m8 as it stands Jeff is on the bench , looks like he will need to wait until someone gets injured or suspended
nfb
Im glad Eustace gets such a vote of support, he's a bit like Martin, in that people want to see someone else play there, cos the grass is greener ! No other reason it seems ? Then when Beast (for Martin) or Omar or Hughes (for Eustace) get the shirt we realise that positions like theirs (Martins or Eustace) are 'specialist' positions in a system which hinges on both of them functioning well for the majority of the 90mins allowing the Midfield to do what the do best.... Thats not to knock Omar (altho Beast is another story, wish we could send him home !) he hasn't got the experience, altho he has got the ability... and having had a season as 'understudy' to Eustace could well be a great permanent signing going forwards. The choice between Bryson and Hendrick is the toughest choice.....
valleyram
What an abundance of riches! It's clear people think Hughes has come on a lot as he's the main man (36 votes at present count) though I'd have had him as first chhoice last season too. A brilliant performance by Eustace to rack up 33 votes so far. We keep trying to replace him and he keeps coming back, proving himself indispensible to the team. Bryson leading Hendrick 23 to 16. I think Hughes and Hendrick are the future, evidenced by their international successes and games such as the Brighton 4-1 playoff. By next season, I'd expect Hughes and Hendrick to be a more clearcut selection. That's how I voted, but I see why Bryson is still a lot of people's choice for the slot. You do feel for the likes of Mascarell, Bunjaku and Koblenz, trying to break through, with Thorne on the comeback trail too. It's important to keep the cup run going to give some of these guys games to prove themselves and make them ready for the step up. Hughes and Hendrick won't play before Bryso,2 great players but sorry they just don't do the work or anywhere near what craig does , I would imagine Hughes will be sold in the summer and Thorne Bryso and Hendrick will be midfield 3 in premiership next season
peakram
Would go as is at the mo, if it aint broke don't fix it! Not in the slightest bit worried should Hendrick come in though (except for Eustace) as the other three just don't seem to fit together despite being the most talented trio. Rampage
The present side must continue until something goes wrong, then fix it. We have an embarrassment of riches in midfield. If in any given game, it is not working, then on come the subs. Obvious to me that McClaren is planning to use the players that he has now to tackle the Premiership and he will add players who can fit in straight away.
