drgoodspeak
Derby County have joined West Ham in the battle to land Algeria ace Islam Slimani, while his agent has suggested he could be on his way out of Sporting Lisbon this summer. Slimani was arguably Algeria
Srg
From what I've seen of him, he'd be like a much better Connor Sammon. Not a chance though
Cam the Ram
Quick search on google and there's a story about Newcastle preparing a 6 mil bid for him ..... no thanks
Daaave
Allah can say is I reckon there's only a very slim chance of us landing him.
Day
Bring back Nigel, I won't know how to pronounce half the squad if this goes on
Lupoli
Sounds like they're just trying to build up interest in him to up the price
lukedcfc
Was just about to topic this. Maybe this is why we no longer want the Juke. Very impressed with Slimani, he seems to have presence, energy and a eye for goal. No doubt he will have options, and will probably end up in the Premier League. Good to see us linked with these sort of players.

Ambitious
I had to laugh when I saw this. It'd be a brilliant signing, but it just won't happen. 8 goals in 26 games for Sporting despite being used as a sub for them and regarded as the best Algerian footballer despite Abdouninho - he has been first rate for Algeria in the World Cup too. I'd be delighted with this signing, on the face of it, but I just don't see it.

Srg
Oh God, Daaave has just incited racial tensions and there's currently a Ram effigy being burnt in Algiers as we speak.
Ramarena
Almost mentioned him in the transfer suggestion thread after watching the 2nd round game. He looked good against Germany, led the line, nice touch, took up some great positions between the CB's and pretty mobile as well. He's got a pretty good scoring record and he is not first choice at him club so potentially affordable?
davenportram
I read it as Islam Salami - which would be an unfortunate name.
Thierry Ennui
8 goals in 26 games for Sporting despite being used as a sub for them and regarded as the best Algerian footballer despite Abdouninho - he has been first rate for Algeria in the World Cup too. I thought Forest signed the best Algerian footballer ever last season?
Srg
I don't think you got the Abdoun-inho reference...
Thierry Ennui
Ah crap. Can we all pretend this didn't happen?
UrbanRam
Doubt this will happen, proved himself on footballs biggest stage so is unlikely to end up in the championship, sad because he would be a fantastic signing
Animal is a Ram
Silly season. Still, it is nice to be linked with quality players for a change, even if they are reaaaaally wide of the mark...
Ambitious
I can just imagine his agent now, sat around his office thinking 'I need to draw up some serious interest in my client, who should Ieak information about' 'Derby County' I think he needs a better agent. DEL
Lots of money means no chance to get him anyway but would be surprised if we did though.
