Derby_Daz
Why is Clough being slaughtered for one bad signing, even Sir Alex made few bad ones and they generally cost a lot more than £1.2m.
Hinzy9
I wouldn't say the Watford away goal this season was as good a finish because it looked as though he just swung a leg at it and then ''toe-poked'' it All of his goals have been toe-pokes, miss-kicks and tap ins from 1 yard! That's most likely because Ferguson had more than £1.2 to spend. For us, that was a massive amount of money to spend, and it hasn't worked. At all. But you're right, everyone manager makes mistakes it's just part of the job
Srg
It is frustrating knowing some of the players Clough brought to the club and prices he paid, and how many of those we could have had for the waste on Sammon.

Yeah it's not like he wasted money all the time is it! Porter, Tyson, Robinson, D Martin, Doyle, Maguire etc etc they were all great signings weren't they! Not a penny wasted there..... YorkshireRam
Quoted by whom? Are the club divulging players salaries now? I can't remember, I just remember the figure was in that ball park with someone saying he was the top payed player at the club after Tyson left. eddie
San Rush said it at one of the pub sessions last season following a comment criticising the boards investment. No he didn't. He quoted a ballpark figure with respect to the net cost, and people tried to work it out for themselves.
bcnram
Whilst he clearly has an awkwardness about him, so many very well respected people within the game speak highly about him that he obviously has a value to teams. So, who is right, the odd ones on here who exaggerate his shortcomings or the people who work with him on a daily basis? :-) San Rush said it at one of the pub sessions last season following a comment criticising the boards investment. So the CEO of the company is giving out employees salary details in the pub; bad boy. I will ask him when I see him dropping off the kids at school next week.
