Ovine_Interferer
Ay up everyone...first post on here so hello to all the Rams out there. Utter crap news that we can't make Wembley this time as we're already booked working at a British Legion fundraiser at Donington Park all weekend Just hoping that it's a stonking day darn sarf and the 'Rrrrrs' fans have sweet FA to celebrate come full time. 41 years ago, I went to my first Rams game against...yep, QPR. I think it was my 6th burpday, and we won 4-2 - lets hope the result is the same or better this time around! All the kids are off down to London for the game, leaving the old farts kicking their heels back home. Wee shytes.

Ovine_Interferer
Welcome to the forum fella. This charity event. Can't you just say no a little bit? As much as I'd love to.....it's at the World Super Bikes meeting and I kindof run the stand for the Poppy Appeal with my better half. Booked it last year, not even thinking about the date at the time We will be buggering off home to Findern at 2pm on the Saturday to watch the game though.....no way am I using Sky plus for recording THAT and watching later...... Win this and I'll be happier than I was when Charlie George banged his third in against Real Madrid in the European Cup and I fell off my beer crate in the Ossie End (the owd 'uns will know what I mean!) rezner
Must try harder I've got tickets to see one of my fave bands (Nine Inch Nails) at notts arena with the missus and I'm not going. So she's got to find someone to go with,or sell the tickets. Not happy about it,neither is the missus.

Ovine_Interferer
You mean the spiritual home of Findern? Spirits from optics swapped for the ethereal variety! ? Can't say I was a regular there, but honestly, it's been so dead over the last few years I doubt the change of clientele will be noticed.

Jourdan
I feel your pain, Ovine Interferer. There is no place I would rather be than Wembley but I'll be stranded in wet and windy St. Petersburg come May 24th. I teach English at a school here and I have classes during weekends. I'm devastated but given that I've taken all my annual leave, there was simply no room for manoeuvre. My classes finish 15 minutes before kick-off so instead I'm going to teach all my students the offside rule and the lines to a few Derby songs and have a black-and-white party, choppy stream and all. I hope everyone who can make it has a wonderful time.
ladyram
It's a shame you can't get Orvine but look at it this way, that's sterling work you're doing with the Poppy Appeal, good on you! :-)
maydrakin
I'm still planning on doing both. Win at Wembley, back in time for Trent Reznor to deliver the goods! Both the guys I was supposed to see NIN with are giving up their tickets though...
Anag Ram
I don't think I could bear not being able to get tickets this weekend. My laptop and phone will be red hot on Saturday!
Srg
I think I'd rather sit with a nine inch nail through my seat at Wembley than have to go see them attempt music.
