That would be a massive waste of money.

Why would it?

Best would be backup to Martin for injuries/suspensions and Sharp would be a plan B.

Look at other teams who will be up near the top with us (hopefully) and they have a number of different options up front.

If they want rid then they might? They'd rather get a fee for him now than let him leave on a free at the end of the season.

Don't think they want rid, they want him to sign a new deal. And yes they may end up selling him cheaper, but around the level of our budget? No chance

If he wants out and refuses to sign a new deal and makes it very clear he doesn't want to be there then it would be in their best interest to sell him.

He's not good enough for the Premiership and he's not the sort of signing that newly-relegated teams would make with most of them already securing their customary marquee striker signing ie. Fulham- McCormack and Cardiff- Grabban. Therefore, there are very few clubs that would be interested in purchasing him for anything over

Got a plan. Not sure it will work. We take him on loan. We show we love him (with a 600 page thread)'. The players show they love him. He then makes it clear he wants to go nowhere else than Derby with a new contract, going to the press if ness. He puts in a transfer request. Perhaps 2. What do you think guys?

Love it...

Oh but I read on, next chapter he signs and then injures his knee, out for 9 months!
