He has had a half-decent season, seven goals in a relegated side from midfield is good going, especially for a player that isn't attacking. However, he is on roughly 40k a week, or so I understand. Go into the foreign market, however, I would try and sign Leonardo Ulloa from Brighton. I think he's a terrific player - similar mould to Martin and would integrate into our system well. It's staggering the money that needs to be spent to bring in supposed Premier League quality players though. It will be interesting to see what our board do. I'll admit to thinking that our board will go in half-hearted. I can see us breaking our transfer record, but not by much. Wages would probably be silly though for the bit of quality they would bring. Would really like Ulloa if we were to go up. Him and Martin competing for the striker role would mean we'd always be fresh. Also be nice to bring Russell's mate mackay-stevens regardless of division.
