The point you might be missing Tombo is those people are the creators, it takes 1 person to belt out a good tune, then his or her mates will join in, then if it's good, the people around that group will join in and then it spreads and before you know it, the singers in the east stand upper or wherever join in and start singing. This is how a chant develops or as Alpha says, it's better than just pinching a song from some other team as it shows no form of originality whatsoever, and just adds another statistic to the modern game of football getting duller and duller. Derby County Football Club wants an atmosphere in it's ground, it wants our fans to sing, it wants our fans to outsing the away fans, it wants our fans to enjoy themeselves by having some fun, and that fun is created by,1, by 5 by 100, by 1,000, by 10,000 etc all singing for the club they love. Suprising it might seem to you, but someone has to start a chant off, and if you've ever tried it, at home, or at an away ground, and your chant latches on, by derby county fans in your company then it becomes a great enjoyable feeling. I'm telling you try it, you might enjoy it, and if it doesn't work for you, try, try, try again, because one day, it will and you'll feel very proud of yourself and your fellow rams fans will feel proud of you. Where do you think all the songs that Derby fans currently sing come from? Even in the Chelsea FA Cup we tried to create an atmosphere by waving scarves, and singing but unfortunately all you can hear is the away fans singing and not us, surely you would rather hear Derby County fans singling loudly and proudly and always drowning out the opposing fans, and for this to happen, the knockers have to stop knocking, and have to start singing and encouraging others and keep trying. Keep The Faith.......and sing, sing, sing and keep on singing for D.C.F.C And let's hope things change for the better and we start hearing better songs, louder songs and more famous bands coming from Derby............ I think we can, we always expect a performance from our players, our players expect a performance from us, so it's up to us to perform and that's by giving them an atmosphere they will respond too, so I'll keep trying and every game I go to, I always try to sing and always try to get something new going, because when it does carry and other folk latch on to it, it's great and it makes me proud to be part of D.C.F.C.
