davenportram
**** all to do with plan B - play plan A well! Can't play plan A at all when they press our full backs and CH high up the field preventing us playing from the back
RIMBAUD
so hoof? no. simplistic attack on tactics of a team in my book - a bit like not liking a song because you don't like the lyrics. my feeling is it's players - not the system
Gary Teale
Can't play plan A at all when they press our full backs and CH high up the field preventing us playing from the back Swansea managed it at this level. It sometimes just takes a bit of patience. Liverpool even have been doing it and it's started to show through.

Liverpool even have been doing it and it's started to show through. Bit how many teams actually pressured and harried them? We did and beat them. They managed to find a way of playing against teams pressuring - bit they didn't keep rolling the ball out to defenders with opposition all over them. Swansea also had one or two games where the lost badly like we did today, the kept the faith with their system and so shoud we, its he we play best. YorkshireRam
41212? Oh dear Haha why? Just a more centralised version of a 442, also allows Ward to play behind the 2 strikers, arguably where he's played best this season.
Mostyn6
this is the result of playing Chelsea. The emotional pressure involved in that game took steam out of a lot of players, but at the same time, gave them some arrogance, such was the level of performance. Anyone who thought that Chelsea draw was good for us is a moron, cos it was always going to reset us and knock us back a few steps. Tonight, nobody really turned up, but lots of them made confident noises. If you can single out anyone as a poor performer, sorry, again, you're a moron! Nobody played well for us tonight, all 11 starters did many poor things. Brighton is the defining moment now. Tonight was defining cos if we lost, we were never going to win the league (sorry B4!), now if we lost against Brighton, I think we'll do well to stay in the play-offs. Shuff264
Not counting the Donny game when it happened, we have only won 1 game without Keogh. Coincidence or Captain Fantastic?

YorkshireRam
Didn't he score all his goals when Steve mc came in and played him wide in a 3? He's not scoring at the minute is he...? In fact, he is playing very poorly at the minute, i'd give Bennett a fair chance and rest Ward.

Well no he isn't playing great and a bit out of form so you think we should change the formation to give him a free role? Bennett has not really performed when he has started and seems better as an impact player. His last start he was took off at half time. Surely Bamford has been brought in to play and in the DET he says he plays up from or on the right of the 3 as that's where he played at Chelsea reserves as lukaku was the player in the centre. Do we drop Dawkins as well as he has only scored 1.
REDCAR
Blimey... We lose to Chelsea (arguably the best team in England) and Leicester ( arguably the best team in the second tier)... and players are crap... SM has made me eat humble pie... So we need to get behind the lads and remember where we have come... Huge progress... I don't see an issue personally... Just stay focused and positive. ChaddesdenRam
9 wins needed for a guaranteed playoff spot. 21 games left. Leicester was never going to be one of those 9 wins. Ward doesn't seem to be doing a great deal at the minute. Bennett needs game time, we're going to have to start him at some point if he's going to live up to his potential and hype. He is eager and puts in 100% which cannot be said about Ward unfortunately.

Performances havent been great for the last few games, mostly against average sides. Play a top side away from home and the result isnt that surprising. Nobody played well, but I could give you a few names that played worse than others.
TobyWanKenobi
Oh christ. Certain posters have been waiting for us to have a couple of defeats on the bounce so that they can pounce on it, and claim "The honeymoon is over". I even read them say it in match chat when we have gone behind, and then we ended up winning. It might be, but losing to the teams we have done is not really shameful. They were better than us. End of. I would like to see us invest in a player who specialises is set pieces. A bit more confidence on free kicks, and corners that beat the first man wouldn't go amiss. Haha, can imagine the abuse if Cloughie was still in charge! Leicester are a premiership team on paper, Nugent is reported to be on £35k per week, fook em, the next 10 games are important not the last 2. Mostyn6
I wasnt knocking the manager/team as a whole by the way, just saying using the Chelsea game as an excuse for this defeat is laughable. so what is the reason/excuse then? As I said, they didn't beat the Derby team at it's best. The Derby team didn't even have a shot saved. So therefore the Derby team were below par. What is the reason for this? You tell me! Don't rubbish a theory unless you have a better one!
