ya right , sorry , i was in mostyn mode ..

Ouch.

What you failed to realise was the pyschology in my "worst away game" thread. People remembering how bad it HAS been in the past, will now feel more optimistic about the present. It's a kind of therapy and I'm shithot at stuff like that ;)

Ross McClaren - even did the decent thing of buying a country pub when he retired. Proper footballer.

I quite liked the other one.

What was his name again.....Ah, Steve, that's him!

Ran the show, away at Walsall, one day. Seems a while ago............

Perhaps you should have tried it yourself a couple of months ago

Back on topic, Peter Daniel

assuming this was aimed at me, why? I was depressed with it all, I was quite comfortable knowing there was limited optimism based on luck rather than professionalism, but even then, I knew we'd been a lot worse-off previously.

Quite a few but for me late eighties/early nineties, Geraint Williams - often went unnoticed but when he left we really missed him in the middle of midfield, breaking up play, playing the simple pass so well. A few years later Paul Williams (Jossy and his big boll0cks!), was a crowd pleaser but never really talked about much after or loooked on with much fondness.

Alan Durban. One of the few to survive the arrival of Sir Brian and more than held his place. Had the great knack of arriving 'late' in the penalty area to score goals. Also had a great 'bendy' free kick.

Arrived as an inside forward - remember those - from Cardiff I think and was far too clever for most of his team mates pre Clough.
