Alph
Seems good. Quite like him. Be even more appealing when he leaves the imposters.
Subman
what makes you so sure that they are stopping him from moving on? NormantonRam
Think Nigel could regret this, huge club in that league with great potential with new joint owner. He would have had money to spend in Jan for sure.
Mostyn6
This article for a start plus others in the press 'Up North'. http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/Derby-County-boss-Nigel-Clough-apply-jobs/story-19927708-detail/story.html Reads to me like he is shopping himself, although there are no quotes from either side and nothing factual, in fact it's a " we understand" report. Which implies it could be based on a rumour
McRainy
He would have had money to spend in Jan for sure. What makes you say that? Abdullah has so far paid £1 to license 50% of the debt. That's it.

Boycie
Well if Clough wants 400k compo, does that mean he was only on about 5.5k a week?
Ambitious
Well if Clough wants 400k compo, does that mean he was only on about 5.5k a week? Sounds reasonable to me. I imagine Schteve will be on atleast double that!
Mostyn6
Well if Clough wants 400k compo, does that mean he was only on about 5.5k a week? is that on top of his salary? I was told that Clough's salary was heavily incentivised to tie in with budgets and savings, I'd imagine he'd think he's entitled to certain bonuses. uttoxram75
If the club owes Clough even one penny they should pay up with grace and thank him. He was not sacked for misconduct, the opposite in fact, he'd done pretty much as the board had asked of him, so close the story down now. Pay the bloke his dues and move on. uttoxram75
Why you so worried about this I'm sure he'll survive. Not worried in the slightest fella. Just want the club to do the right thing IF they owe him owt.

Thats fair enough it's the clubs fault for extending his contract so yes it's going to cost us Rams fans one way or the other .
Mostyn6
the club are well within their right to continue to pay him weekly/monthly as per the terms of his contract. Nobody would argue this is the right thing to do.

mcsilks
Sounds reasonable to me. I imagine Schteve will be on atleast double that! I would be surprised if McLaren were on that. Very few Championship clubs in their right mind would have offered him a management role after some high profile failures.

Ambitious
well Clough was plucked from non-league, Schteve has european cup finals to his name and top division titles. If he isn't on around 10,000 a week I would be very surprised - just a hunch.
-JW-
Clough was at the Crewe game today and Sheff united play Crewe next week. Good luck at Crewe Nigel.
