Not Nigel and his mates FC Players have emotions, if they are feeling sorry for themselves and pretty damn angry to boot about Nigel going it's going to affect their play. No excuse for 4-1 mind you, but there'll be more to it than simply 'not trying'. Being fecked off and not on your game can easily go from 2-1 to 4-1 very quickly if you can't find any rhythm. (Not to mention having a brand new centre half in there with no natural leader at set pieces) I think a loss was always on the cards. Far more important is how they react against Leeds now.
