Messi will win it.

I personally think Messi would be less effective if you took him out of Barcelona, where as Ronaldo will always score goals no matter where he plays.

Messi has scored more goals for Argentina than Ronaldo has for Portugal over the past few years so that rules that arguement out..

Also Mezut Ozil provided more assists for Ronaldo than any Barca player provided for Messi..

Messi will win it.. Regardless of trophies, it's all about individual ability.. It would be an absolute crime if a player who broke the record for goals in a calender year doesn't win it..

Would like Xavi to win it, probably doesn't deserve to this year but it would be a great honour for a great player.

No brainer to give it to Messi though considering the amount of goals he has scored.

Both Xavi and Casillas jointly won top honours this season (something like Spains best player of the last 4 years) which was a nice touch.. Those two together bring humility to the big games and they've both won absolutely everything with their clubs.. Such likeable players..

Legends the both of them.. Spain will never forget them.
