Can I predict that people wont read this?😈

Do I get a bonus point for my prediction?😁

Get the season started with a win and hopefully a decent performance.
DCFC 2 : Wigan 0

Hope while you are waiting you are OK. Fingers crossed the team give you a boost with some decent performances.
After the op, be kind to yourself and take things steadily. Recovery from any operation can take it out of you and I'm afraid men are pretty bad at accepting this. It can really knock you back if you do too much too soon (I speak from my own experience 😁 )

This feels like a huge significant moment for our club, just take a time to reflect..
Ebosele, Ebiowei, Plange, Kelly man, etc etc, poached from us for peanuts due to the club being hamstrung by administration, debt, Mel, EFL sanctions and Quantuma.
Not today though, today we are able to offer our brightest prospects a 3 year deal, more importantly, they want to sign it.
Totally agree, it's a sign we have started the rebuild of the club in earnest.
In terms of the lad - I expect good things from him from what I've seen so far.

Always find these "who was/is the best" difficult.
As time passes we forget the "not-so-great" days and the fond memories take over. So many players have that one match which made you smile and so you move them up the list after forgetting the times they cocked it up royally!
That being said there are the ones that just seem to have a had great careers not just the great games, Buckley and Powell are always names I seem to compare players to and Nish as one from my youth normally gets a mention, (to eye rolling from my son), as "the best I've seen".
Personally, I know Fozzy will easily end up with that trio of names, (maybe not in the same revered tone as Nish) - but also as someone extra special for staying with us when he could have moved on during the dark times - which I think makes him not just one of our great Left Backs, but also a great Ram at heart.

I like to stand but I did sit down I throught it was great you could take beer into the stands makes a change on that front. And able take my time in drinking it instead of rushing it down my neck.
Saw quite a few making use of this "freedom", including one or two who looked like they would be suffering the day after!

So, £2million PLUS Wilson?

I enjoyed going to a smaller ground for a change and it felt welcoming - kudos to both clubs for arranging this. (One negative - I've not stood for a full 90 minutes for 35 or so years, felt decidedly ancient with my achy back and legs!)
Agree with you about Brown - I felt he was a little uncertain for a few minutes then looked so much better after a few touches. Appeared to want to get in the box - nice to see.
I felt there was a far faster approach to getting forward and the "hold it and pass sideways or back" approach was far less evident. Having 90% of the possession but zero goals gets you nowhere, so I'm pleased we are looking to get the ball, move it forwards and get attacking. A strong back line will give confidence for this approach.
My son made an interesting comment, he felt it was like the Oxford match last season - a little scrappy at times, people not on the same wavelength and a few off the pace and that showed how having a good few pre-season matches is important. I think we will see a far better start to the season thanks to this.

Wonder what numbers we anticipated?
Can't help but think this is better than expected, which means a stronger war chest.

Love this!
Definitely was a tearful moment when I read last years announcement.

I had a quick count up as soon as they went on sale this morning ( I know I’m sad) and there were 7,254 seats available.
Just had another count and there is 6,733 now, so over 500 sold this morning.
That figure of 6,733 is not much more than the starting number of match day tickets available during the season so I don’t think season ticket sales will be much different to last season.
Not so simple to do, but does anyone know how the season ticket sales actually compare to last year?
It seemed last year the sales were faster, but that may be due to other factors.

With Barnsley losing, they are almost certain to stay in fourth place. Meaning they may test players or take it easy against Posh.
Sheff weds still in with a small chance of autos, but same could be true for them soon.
So 3rd and 4th can save themselves for the play offs, whilst 5th and 6th may have to fight on to the final game
I've mixed feelings regarding "resting" players.
I still feel it can disrupt a team to chop and change it's line up.
While a player can benefit when matches occur a few days apart, it's also possible they can lose focus.

That depends on the emergency, Shirley.
An innocent looking streaker runs on, and reaches the centre circle... only to then whip out his glock, and start shooting his load willy nilly!
... And to make matters worse (Oh yes they can!), he then proceeds to flick his half eaten cigar butt on the grass, which instantly turns into a raging wild fire (On the real grass bits) whilst simultaneously melting the plastic "threads", spewing out poisonous gasses, seat'ards!
Ain't not nobody givin' consideration about existing on no godamn pitch, y'hear!
Jeez!
#thinkon*Sorry... may have overdone the double-negative!
Just a quick question..."to then whip out his glock"... may I ask - where from? (please, no diagrams or explicit detail).
