The idea of any employee being loyal to an employer baffles me.
Employers will be loyal to employees for as long as they are useful to them. I see no reason for employees to treat employers any differently. 
Maybe it's just my line of work, but it's cutthroat stuff at times (which can also be said for football). I will never criticise a footballer for looking after themselves in the same way I've tried to look after myself in my career. 

Sorry, but this expectation that he should stay here when a team like Liverpool come in is frankly laughable. 
Careers can be short, he might not make the grade but that's irrelevant. This opportunity might only present itself to him once. I'd take it if I were him.
We are Derby County, between owners, struggling to pay wages and in a second tier relegation scrap. They are Liverpool, champions of England and one of the most famous clubs in the world. If it was your son what would you want him to do?

I have know him  since he was about 8 and watched him play probably a 100 times, my own son has been in the academy system for the last 8 years so i think i am better qualified to comment than the majority on here. What i will say aswell is that the majority of lads at Derbys academy would be off if a serious offer came in for them.

All scholars get paid from the age of 16 when they start their 2year contract, Liverpool pay approx 4 times what Derby do, although he will only get that for a few months until he’s 17 and signs a pro, which again will be considerably more than Derby’s. Money isn’t the be all and end all though, the coaching and facilities are far better also. Don’t forget Derby could be in league one next season!

I think if any of these people had experience of what it is like in the Academy System then they wouldn’t be making the comments.  Kaide needs to do what is best for himself and his family, I’m sure that there isn’t anybody on here that wouldn’t accept a better job if they were offered one!

Didn't see anyone on here complaining about Bogle not showing loyalty to Swindon when we picked him up at 16. What about Jason Knight? We poached him at 16 from his club. He was there from the age of 4. He should have shown them loyalty and turned us down right? You can't complain that Liverpool are doing this to us, when we do it to countless other clubs multiple times a season.

Even ‘mild’ abuse of a 16 year old is abhorrent.
I’d rather he stayed, but we’re receiving in excess of a million quid. Remind me how much we got for Anya, Bradders or Butterfield?

If I was Kaide or a family member. I would say go to Liverpool, Kaide. As a Rams supporter, I am disappointed and would like to have had first choice for loan back in his contract

I think a few posters should just have a look at their comments about a young 16 year old boy. I have a 16 year old and know how I would feel to read some of the posts on here. However fed up you are about our situation at the moment dont direct it at a young lad. Its embarrassing. If you go Kaide then best of luck and hopefully see you back again one day unless the posts about this everywhere poison your view of our fans. And if your sale lets a couple of others come in who can save us from the abyss thank you.

I don’t think £3million is a paltry fee for a 16 year old who hasn’t done anything yet! I’m sure there are add ons aswell based on future performance.

He's not old enough to have left school, he's in his last year.  He hadn't made the decision, that is my point and as I said they wouldn't have let him go if they didn't need the money.  So Derby haven't lost out, they have done what is best for them at this moment in time.

It was United initially. He’s contracted for the next 2 years as a scholar. It was a pre agreement for a pro that was offered.
