That's my take - all he really cared about was immediate (or near immediate) promotion, then worry about the long term once we were in the championship. (Maybe at that point selling the club to a richer, more ambitious owner.) Not necessarily the route I'd have preferred, but fine as far as it goes.
It does all depend on us actually getting promotion, though

Good luck Liam, glad you're doing well and taken your opportunity at Hull. Some great football and cracking results. We've got league one Pep, everybody is happy.

Just wanted to say, what a good free transfer Nelson is proving to be, a man mountain of a player, wins nearly all his headers reads the game well, and is forming a great partnership with Cashin.

Very sad news for Josh and his family, the support from his colleagues will be needed at a difficult time like this, sometimes there’s more to life than football. 😔
Perhaps something could be arranged by fans to show support at the home game? Applause at the 31st min or something?

Looks like another painful day for Hull fans with a painful away win at Stoke likely to take them to a painful fourth.

Mate, don’t engage. You’ll be just wasting your time, you’ll have more luck teaching trigonometry to a dachshund then getting Turden to see any other point of view then the one that aligns with his own cemented beliefs without receiving a twisted response that doesn’t truly address the point you made.

I assume he will be aware, because I assume he's a good businessman who analyses, reflects on and is keen to learn from his major decisions.

I don’t think even Warne knows our best X1 yet. However what we do have now is plenty of options and permutations to try. Clearly last season burnout was an issue and we seemed to concede late in games which told in the end; that detracted from the esprit de corps that a small squad brings. Whilst I haven’t been impressed with the quality of our recruitment, the fact we have Barks and Sibley back is a major boost. When Bird 🦅 gets back we will start to be very competitive I think. So, if we stay close to the top 10, I can foresee us getting into top gear as the final quarter of the season gets going. Patience and staying with the squad in terms of support will be a very key factor. We need to go up this season playing a brand of football that will enable us to continue momentum in the Championship and that is an area where for me Warne has an Achilles heel. Kick and rush will not be a style to hang the Derby County hat on.

Rosenior had to build a squad almost literally from nothing, working under as many (and probably many more) restrictions than Warne.
He was then given fewer than 10 league games to get these players working as a cohesive squad, playing a fairly technical brand of football.
It wasn't like we lost every game. It wasn't like there weren't some very positive signs.
I think it was way too soon to say his brand of football would have proven ineffective for us, given more time and probably more resource.

Rosenior has Hull sixth in the Championship and they just took four points off former PL sides Leicester and Leeds, keeping clean sheets in both.
And some use that as reason to defend Paul Warne…

He's clearly being told to play those kind of balls though, the same with Cashin and the big diagonals.  They weren't really playing them at all when Rosenior was in charge, and they started almost as soon as Warne got here.  Whether it's exactly what Warne wants or not is open to debate, but it's pretty clear (to me anyway) that this is how the players are interpreting what they are being told.
He was obviously signed to sit in the base of a 4231 alongside Bird, where his lack of mobility wasn't as much of an issue.  It's only because Warne wants the entire team doing death-sprints between both boxes, that his lack of mobility gets exposed.  For what it's worth, I think with him and Bird in there under Rosenior, we had the same set of issues as when we played Rooney and Bird there - in games where we had lots of the ball and they could just stroll around and play passes it worked well, but in the more frantic games, they weren't mobile enough (as a pair) to deal with it.  But we never really got to see how Rosenior would have adjusted to deal with that because he was moved on so quickly.

Death by passing to our own guys beats death by passing to their guys.
LR wasn't amazing but you could see what they were trying to be and they weren't that bad at being it, and LR gets credit for putting the squad together after the admin as well as sticking with the club through the admin and it was his first gig as the head coach (OK interim audition period, but he was doing the job until he wasn't).
