Is it just me but do we have any strikers that we are targeting that we actually see as suitiable for our style of play ?

That seems to have been the strategy under Warne - buy players who haven't played much in recent times due to injury or not holding down a starting spot and gamble that they can regain form and fitness here. Waghorn, Washington, John-Jules, Wilson, Embleton, Sonny and now Adams all had injuries (mostly serious) the season before signing for us so hadn't played much football. And nearly all of them have once again picked up injuries since signing for us.

Just going off what’s been said on here but you are probably right and it will come out it was something more like 500-750k

I've got a friend who's a Middlesbrough fan and he said their version of Big Trav has said they've had a bid rejected for Langstaff. So if Boro can't agree a suitable fee after just receiving a huge chunk from the Rogers sale, we'd probably struggle to find the funds Notts are looking for unfortunately.

To be honest if it’s true the medical was for Ennis going to be difficult with what time is left to get a decent striker in ….i will be hugely disappointed if we don’t 

Palace have just signed a 19yr old midfielder from Blackburn for £22m quite sickening when you think of everyone that got snatched from us. Hope we get our academy back to where it was one day!

Unfortunate that he has got a better move late on which is out of our control, but you’d expect us to have backups. Piss poor if we don’t get someone in.

So not great news unfortunately, Niall Ennis was the player booked in today for a loan to buy. However he got a late bid and looks to be off to Stoke. Can only imagine we are scrambling around to find someone

If Bird thinks that Rams and Bristol city are going to be in the same division next year . Why on earth would you pick them over us?

They might well finish in the top 2, but I just know if we signed him for £750k, there would be some complaints.
He's a good player, but he's had one good season at this level in his career. He's a striker with a career average of a goal every 4 games. No doubt he's a good player, but he's followed up his good season last year with 3 goals in 27 games, meanwhile Chris Martin has 9 in 17 in the same team.
They apparently wanted £4mil in the summer, now they've taken £750k. Decent player but by no means a promotion securer.

Yep I’d say Warne walked in this morning and said get rid of bird and get me a player in there mid 30s. 

My cat has just inexplicably done a runny s*** in the bath. Whilst I realise this isn’t totally related, it has certainly ruined my transfer deadline day. Could be worse though if you think about it. I suggest you all take this philosophical outlook on events today.

Is it only 50 years ago , we were buying the most expensive defender in Britain ? ( David Nish ) . That would be £80 million nowdays . Where did it all go wrong ?
